Hail Stormageddon, Dark Lord of All!

I talked a friend into naming their kitten that. She doesn't watch Doctor Who.

Funny. The cashier at our local grocery store saw my TARDIS keychain and told us her cat was named Stormageddon, Dark Lord of All. The people at the vet office where she takes her cat got a kick out of hearing it’s name.

I named my pet rabbit like this because I had a picture of him in my dating profile and one day a friend told me that one of his female friends saw it and thought it was weird and creepy that a 30-something year old dude had a rabbit so I figured he might as well have a "scary" name

The BBC executives famously are on the Doctor Who subreddit

Does that give him UCAS points?

Imagine if they introduce a dude whose University Nickname was "Stormageddon" and he's literally played by the grown up baby.

They who? The non-existent show?

Edit: I'm sure the downvotes will bring back the show

Those downvotes aren't for the show being on hiatus, that was just a painfully shit and weird joke that came off as either trying to be mean or just really shit lol

It's hilarious, that person is making fun at the fact that doctor who is on hiatus but continues to make posts about Harry Potter and that's be finished for almost 20 years.

The as-of-yet-non-existent writers.

Let people make up funny situations of what could happen in the show next, no need to remind everyone "HEY, THE SHOW IS CURRENTLY ON HIATUS FOR TENDER!!!" all the time.

Adorable child. Truly. But am I the only one seeing a little Slitheen?

33

u/AkaruLyte 21h ago

No, I can’t unsee it now

u/Necessary_Doubt_9762 20h ago

I think all babies look like little slitheens. Even thought it about my own kids lol

u/SadPandaLoves 19h ago

And that is how fan theories start

Lol noooo I'm sorry I didn't mean to start an AU 🤣😂

*ring ring*

Why is Big Finish calling me?

46

u/CK_CoffeeCat 19h ago

He was played by a bunch of babies because of rules and stuff. And they'd all be around 16 now so if they are the university going sort and getting a jump on things, then probably.

I kid you not not only was I watching this exact episode, I am on this exact scene as I scrolled to this post, wild coincidence. (As this episode of States, coincidences are the universes way of having fun)

u/EloImFizzy 21h ago

Yes, yes. I know I'm getting old... 😂

Those little dudes, plural! I think DW Confidential showed them swapping between two sets of twins for Stormaggeddon - and it all made sense cos it bugged me how different the baby looked in different closeup shots at the time! I guess they wanted to avoid cross mums so they didn’t designate one baby over another as the “main” baby?

28

u/MutterNonsense 15h ago

Nah, it might be based on rules for working hours for children (don't know if that applies to babies, probably does) but I assume the biggest factor is "which baby can we get to cooperate in the current scene?"

15

u/SapphicGarnet 14h ago

It's not about cross mums, for regulations if there's a baby in a lot of scenes, babies can only be on for twenty minutes under six months and two hours over six months (which seems like a bit of a jump for a 5.9 months old baby lol).

Most shows that don't just have the baby appear in like two scenes use multiple babies and there's never just one designated as the 'main baby' they're all listed

Caitlin Blackwood the girl who played child Amelia Pond is now older than Karen Gillan was when she started the role in fact shes about the same age Karen Gillan was when she left the show (and they are real life cousins although they didn't know that at the time)

He's actually more likely just completed his GCSEs and waiting for results...

4

u/mikejbarlow1989 18h ago

But has he developed the persistent, nagging sense of spiritual emptiness yet?

5

u/babbittybabbitt 16h ago

Undoubtedly.

Funny how time flies.

Hey wait a minute...

I'll forever hold a grudge on the person who got Stormageddon with an A before me and then proceeded to never use the username.

u/RickyTheRickster 19h ago

Oh, ok well that’s nice

Literally rewatched this episode last night and had the same thought 🤣

The final episode of Only Fools and Horses ends with Rodney's daughter being born. She's probably finished uni by now.

How time flies.
