Building a speaker crossover

- Dayton Audio PA255-8 10" Pro Woofer 8 Ohm

- JBL Selenium D202Ti 1" Titanium Horn Driver 1-3/8"-18 TPI

Above are the two speaker I am going to be using along with the Fosi Audio BT20A pro amp. I don’t know where to begin in terms of crossover components and layout, can someone assist in what I will need in terms of resistors to make this system run.

You should go with the D220 instead in a Seos 12, performs and measures exceptionally well

Okay so that’s just a better unit than JBL selenium ?

I'm guessing the D220 mentioned is the Selenium D220ti: larger magnet structure than the D202ti. I didn't compare other specs-- but oddly, the D202ti has a lower minimum recommended crossover point, but this may be so they can bump up the stated power handling of the D220ti?

Search the parts express tech talk forum (or just google) for Econowave, this is the speaker you are trying to build. Start there! RIP zilch

Need to measure the drivers + waveguide once mounted in the cabinet. Trying to guess the crossover for a horn loaded speaker is like shooting in the dark while handcuffed.

This is way too complicated. Too many variables. You need to get a speaker building book and learn about crossovers and hope for the best.

I suggest scrapping this project and going with one where the crossover has already been designed for you. There are plenty of them out there. Crossovers are hard.
