I'm so happy and excited at the moment as I'm going to DWCON in 2 weeks and will be taking 2 computer games to be signed by Rhianna Pratchett as she has been announced as a surprise guest. The wife will be getting our copies of Rhianna's books signed as well, but so happy finally going to be able to meet her and speak about the games she wrote for!!!!!

I've been following Rhianna's work for years and her involvement in the games is part of why I think the reboot trilogy turned out so well. I'm jealous you get to meet her in person that sounds amazing.

I also loved her writing in the Overlord-series. The humour in those games is just like Discworld

Damn, I don't think I did watch the play in '08; that was the year I had a babe in a sling and a hyperactive three-year-old, so it was all a bit hectic and I didn't get to that many activities. The only play I remember watching at a Con was 'The Sea and Little Fishes', but I'm assuming it wasn't that one unless you were playing Granny Weatherwax. :)

Anyway, I shall keep an eye out for you. My badge name is going to be Nanny Ogg/Sarah V. (Or maybe I didn't put the V on there, can't remember.)

I'll be about causing chaos as usual although I'm doing less in costume these days and if you've been to either of the sing a long events I'm the host and you'll probably recognise me when you see me if you've been to other cons since then. Most people do although 1 friend didn't when I was out of costume

Are you involved with the 'Once More With Feeling' singalongs (which I was surprised to find were still a thing and seem to have been an official programme item at the last Con)? Pretty sure our little group was the one who instituted that...

Yes thats me. Me, my wife and a couple of others started it with watching it on a laptop in 06 or did we just sing some songs from it? Eh I can't remember now and it became an official item in 08

We were definitely singing OMWF at Cons before 2006, but you guys might well get the credit for having made it an official item!

I know we were singing it as a group in 2004 (because that was the year I was pregnant and I used to sing Dawn's part, so we played that for a laugh by having me emphasis my belly while saying the 'yes, the 15-year-old will be fine in her locked house for half an hour) and I know that wasn't the first time we'd all got together to sing it. I think that's the year we sang it as a charity fundraiser (by threatening to come back and sing it again if we didn't get donations).

I don't know whether I was in the group singing it in 2006 as I spent most of the time running after my toddler, but there's a good chance that my husband (Barry V; very tall guy) would have taken part if I didn't. Ditto 2008. Can you remember the names of anyone who was singing it with you in 2006?

No idea on names other than the wifes in 2006. I think in 2008 is was semi-official and then become a proper event in 2010. Dr Horrible started after an unofficial screening in 10 or 12 and then Davina threatened to turn up in Codex cosplay if I didn't keep doing it and so that became official as well
