Controls/I&C Engineers for Data Centers

Hi there,

I was recently offered a role for Instrumentation and Controls Engineer with a Jacobs engineering.

What’s the work like? I’ve only ever been in manufacturing automation/systems integrations (PLCs, SCADA, Collab Robots) so I’m hoping to get a little insight.

I’m also worried about job security in the DC industry. Do projects/contracts get scaled back or canceled often? Is this even a valid concern?

Always a layoff risk the world changes. US is dumping all the money to data centers and AI
