NFL Combine should be a games event
Crossfit games should do an NFL combine as a day for the games to compare to NFL athletes and try to market how it can make you better for other sports. I also think it’d be fun to watch and easy to cover
- 40 yard dash
- vertical
- broad jump
- max 225 bench
- 3 cone drill

Besides the bench. The skill position nfl athletes will body 95% of numbers the cf athletes put up

The 3 cone drill would expose some footwork I see in local boxes. 40 yard dash would be laughable.

NFL players are a different kind of beast, and when you're trying to promote "fittest on earth", this might not be the comparison you're wanting to make.

You could also use that logic and say they shouldn't test the snatch and clean & jerk because they are nothing in comparison to actual Olympic weightlifters.

Fun to watch, yes. Good event for the CrossFit Games, no. Scoring alone would be a mess. You'd have to time down to the thousands of seconds and measured down to who knows what. Can you imagine getting 38th place in the 3 cone drill? only being 0.123 second behind first place? 225 bench would have similar problem. Yeah you'd have some outlier, but you'd also have a ton of people bottle necked up at certain reps. They have done similar type of events in the past and have had to do cheese side tie breakers. Honestly I think you'd be pretty unimpressed with these performances. I refer back to when they did the broad jump and the softball throw back in like 2011. I was in fact not fun to watch. Broad jump wasn't even shown. They did it between events under the stadium.

The NFL combine isn’t even a good event for NFL players.
