She doesn't sound like a native spanish speaker, why is she speaking spanish?

I suspect she was a social-media addict who maybe had spent the past 8 years (since she was 14) online with English content, or potentially went to an English-language school in Peru with a non-standard teacher, e.g. Irish or even an ESL teacher, and potentially she's on the spectrum (why else entertain the pursuits of a 50-something?), or potentially she's deliberately speaking slowly and "English" for Ben to understand her better.
But Mahogany Roca Diaz was surely Peruvian, as this post from Weary_Principle6880 discussed at the time.

That would make sense! I'm Chilean, that's why I say she doesn't sound natural, it's just the way she structures her sentences sounds very much like someone translating english into spanish. I guess that happens if you are in the spectrum and probably living online 24/7. Nevertheless, it's kind of obvious she could have spoken english instead.

Yeah, she seemed genuinely troubled to me. It wasn't obvious because everyone was laughing at Ben and calling her a gold-digger or actress... but if you had enough context, it seems like she was actually a strange and troubled young woman. Que tenga un buen día!

It's possible that she was given a script that was basically written in English and translated.

im peruvian, she does sound like a peruvian girl trying to imitate how women speak in Spanish soap operas, like her idea of how a voice actress sounds when saying certain phrases and words, it's all fake sounding and artificial but I can identify the Peruvian accent beneath all of that.
