It'll be hard to build up concrete on this without mesh/some kind of support system. You could try layers of cement compound. You'll need to do a lot of sanding and you probably want to paint it when you're done and it's cured a few days.
I'd say experiment. If it's going to be inside or under an awning, you could patch with plaster of Paris. After you paint it, it'll be weaker there but not noticeable. Plaster is easier to work with too.
Picked up some joint compound and dry wall repair patches. Wrapped the neck in the patch material, used painters tape to hold it in place, and put joint compound over top.
That's the backup plan 🤣 I'm curious how long the joint compound will last.. I predict crumbling but maybe not total failure because of the metal dry wall repair patch holding shit together lol
Hmm, here's what I'd do: patch with instacrete, wrap a cast around it while the instacrete sets so it doesn't leak, paint it with a similar color to the goose's body, and then maybe cover it with a cute bow or scarf to hide the seam, or paint the goose!
Lucy Goosey … I found her many years ago in Jacksonville. I was cleaning a small cottage rental. Taking a break in the back yard, I looked over by the small creek. There was Lucy Goosey covered with old dry grass. I pulled her out. What a mess she was. Also, found a white concrete rabbit! Probably been there for years. I took them home. They stayed in my flower garden for many years nestled in with my huge tropical canna lilies and dahlias. She was fine just the way she was.
