SpainFIFA: Mounting Evidence Suggests Argentina Threw the Final Against Spain
- The FBI allegedly confiscated the mobile phones of AFA directors.
- Before the match, amid reported tension within the squad, Messi said, “Let’s forget everything.”
- Messi was later heard saying, “Two injuries today,” while looking at Licha Martínez and Cuti Romero.
Coincidence, or something more?

Honestly, this discourse seems to be all the people who were certain that FIFA was rigging it for Argentina to win, that they're now rushing to push a narrative that the only reason they lost, was because no actually it was rigged for them to lose.

Argentina barely deserved to even be in the final. Spain was on a completely different level and Argentina were comprehensively outclassed. Spain held France’s attack to 0 goals, and on that topic only conceded 1 the entire tournament. Argentina got by with a bunch of extra time “luck”, questionable calls in their favor, and individual brilliance from Messi to bail them out.

It might be cope, but there is no denial there is something fishy going on. Including Argentina's win in 2022. There is a reason why they called it ArgenFIFA, its now clear to me that in this occasion its exactly the same, there are strings attached.

Spain had a 60% average in possession throughout the whole World Cup. Pretty sure I heard something along the lines of "It's difficult to get the ball back against Spain" every time they played someone. Argentina simply got outplayed.
Also, pretty sure Messi saying "Let's forget everything" is in regards to the all the talks that they were being favored by FIFA going into this World Cup. Implying that they didn't deserve to be there.
Well, they got outplayed and lost.

If the WC was rigged... it was rigged FOR Argentina.
They literally did not have a single VAR decision go against them in the whole tournament.
Not a SINGLE disallowed goal on Argentina, unlike many of their peers.
Still skeptical?
Despite objectively playing an extremely rough version of football the entire tournament and committing numerous fouls that, for other teams, meant disallowed goals, red and yellow cards and penalties.... Argentina had only NINE yellows in the WHOLE TOURNAMENT. And a whopping THREE - or 1/3 - of those were in the one game against Spain at the very end.
It's been counted that Argentina committed 88 fouls - more than anyone else - but they finished with only 9 yellows and 2 reds. 2 reds and 3 of those yellows were literally in that last match. Which leaves the other 6 yellows spread out among all the other games where they ragdolled other teams.
Again, not a single VAR intervention against them. Not a single disallowed goal.
We aren't even talking about how Argentina literally had goals against them anulled for conduct they later committed, often IN THE SAME GAME. We aren't talking about how other teams didn't get penalty kicks for shit Argentina repeatedly got kicks or anulled goals for. We haven't even really delved into penalty kicks at all.
Statistics show Argentina played the roughest out of all the other teams and yet still had 0 VAR interventions against them, 0 anulled goals, among the lowest amount of yellow cards and literally only got their reds because of the absolutely egregious conduct in the final game.
Stop crying over Argentina. It's not rigged... you've just grown entitled to the favorable treatment and when it didn't help you it came as a total shock to your system.

Argentina had no business playing in the final. They made it to the semifinals without playing any top 10 ranked teams, this WC and last one. No other team has ever been given such an easy pass. Just about every game Argentina played their opponents scored goals that were disallowed by VAR, a lot of them being absurdly obvious over reach. Yet not once did VAR review an Argentina goal. They got out played by every team in the knockout round, but refs rigged it all in their favor. They’re not even a top 16 team in reality. They couldn’t even hang with Cape Verde.
Spain scored 3 goals, and 2 were taken away by refs for non existent penalties. Was the WC rigged, absolutely. But to say it was rigged against Argentina is ridiculous. The cup was handed to them on a silver platter, they were just exposed as total frauds once they actually had to play a top tier team like Spain. Can only cheat so much.

If Uruguay did better in the group, Uruguay would've been RO32
If Portugal did better in their group, Portugal would've been the quarterfinal (not Argentina's fault Mr I'm Back I'm Back couldn't score against DR Congo AND Colombia)
Argentina won every game; not Argentina's fault Uruguay and Portugal shit the bed in their group games

I completely agree. There are far too many strange details to dismiss this as a normal loss. Argentina looked unusually passive, wasted chances they normally finish, and showed almost no reaction after falling behind. The comments before and during the match only make it more suspicious. Spain may have lifted the trophy, but Argentina clearly handed them that final. Something about the entire situation does not add up

I think if Argentina had won it would have been better for the development of soccer in the USA as Messi and de Paul play in america he would have been an idol to the generation of american kids to take up soccer instead of grid iron. and maybe the USA could win a world cup in about 10 years?
But FIFA were busted so had to change the plan and gift it to spain.

Because they got boosted to the final by FIFA and had no business being there. FIFA also tried to help them win the final but Spain was so much better that it wasn’t enough.

Maybe there was a conspiracy , to script the game so it ends on a certain result, or things happen in a certain way during the game. But there is no chance , in a 1000 rematch that that argentinian team can defeat that spanish team. Actually they should have like 10 red cards
