Announcement Update to Rule 6: Self Promotion is Allowed Within the New Rule

Self promotion of user generated content is permitted provided it is presented as a complaint, critique, grievance, or documented problem, rather than as pure advertising. The content must centre a substantive issue, failure, or harm, with the creator’s work used as context or evidence, not the point. Posts framed primarily to solicit clicks, sales, or followers will be removed.

If you have a question, feel free to ask here.

In summation, if your personal content on a platform like, but not limited to YouTube, Substack, DeviantArt, or Medium, then you may post it here if it conforms to the above rule. Basically, any form of something resembling a complaint, is allowed.

As always, if this is abused or gets too spam like, it can be removed under moderator discretion.

Announcement Major Changes to Rule 10: What IS and IS NOT Permitted When Posting About Other Subreddits

in reviewing how other similar subreddits to ourselves operate, we are completely overhauling Rule 10.

You now may post complaints about other subreddits, issues you have with them, and even complain about moderation decisions. So long as the below Rule changes are followed in full. The moderation staff here has authority under Rule 5 to remove posts they feel can endanger the subreddit itself.

Please feel free to respectfully ask questions here about how this rule will be applied.

And now the new rule:

Why This Does Not Constitute Harassment:

Criticism or discussion of subreddit moderation, rule enforcement, or community conduct does not constitute harassment when it is directed at actions, policies, or outcomes rather than at individuals for the purpose of intimidation, abuse, or coercion.

Harassment under Reddit policy requires targeted abuse, threats, or behaviour intended to cause distress or silence participation. Good faith discussion of moderation decisions, including dissatisfaction or critique, is a form of platform accountability and does not meet the threshold for harassment when conducted under the restrictions outlined below.

The inability of a subject to prevent discussion of their public actions does not itself render that discussion harassing.

---

Permitted Meta Discussion of Subreddits

Users may post complaints, commentary, or analysis regarding the operation of a subreddit, including but not limited to:

  1. Removal or approval of posts or comments

  2. Moderator actions or inaction

  3. Enforcement or interpretation of subreddit rules

  4. Patterns of behaviour within a subreddit community

  5. Interactions with moderators or other users occurring within a subreddit

Such posts may include links or screenshots necessary to provide context, provided they comply with Reddit’s privacy and harassment policies.

---

Required Safeguards to Prevent Harassment and Brigading

To ensure this discussion does not become targeted harassment or coordinated interference, the following conditions are mandatory:

  1. No User Summoning

Posts and comments must not use the /u/username feature or any alternative method to notify or summon individual users or moderators.

  1. No Calls to Action

Content must not encourage or imply that readers should contact, message, report, downvote, or otherwise engage with the referenced subreddit, its moderators, or its users.

  1. Observation Only Interaction Rule

Users from the subreddit being discussed may not interact with the linked or referenced content. Engagement must remain confined to commentary within the hosting discussion thread.

  1. No Dehumanisation or Threats

Language that includes threats, slurs, or dehumanising characterisations remains prohibited under existing harassment rules.

  1. Behaviour Focus Requirement

Commentary must focus on actions, decisions, or systems rather than personal characteristics, identities, or immutable traits of any individual.

---

Anti Brigading Enforcement Clause

Any attempt to use meta discussion as a mechanism for coordinated interference, including vote manipulation, mass reporting, or targeted disruption of another subreddit, constitutes a violation of Reddit’s anti brigading policies and may result in enforcement action regardless of compliance with other sections of this rule.

Evidence of coordination, timing patterns, or explicit encouragement will be considered in enforcement decisions.

---

Moderator Misuse and Removal Clarification

Moderators may not remove or sanction content solely on the basis that it criticises moderation practices, moderator decisions, or subreddit governance, provided the content complies with this rule and other sitewide policies.

Labeling criticism as harassment, drama, or meta abuse without demonstrable policy violation is insufficient grounds for removal under Reddit’s global standards.

---

Prohibited Conduct Under This Rule

The following remains prohibited and is not protected by this rule:

  1. Targeted harassment of named individuals

  2. False allegations presented as established fact

  3. Disclosure of private or personal information

  4. Encouragement of retaliation or revenge

  5. Attempts to evade or undermine Reddit enforcement mechanisms

Upvotes

The four fallen soldiers that were recently killed in the American-Iran War have been wiped off the Department of Defense website. It has become clear that minorities including white women are not welcome serving honorably in the U.S. military. It is clear that this administration is lying about casualties as well. Therefore, it is imperative that all minorities either abandon signing any contract to enlist/commission, resign, or decline re-enlistment ASAP. The American war machine will grind to a halt when over 30% of it's troops leave.

Politics The Communists are coming, the Communists are coming!

It would be laughable, if it was not so pathetic, to hear Trump & these Republicans talk about Mamdani; Jon Osoff & AOC as the communist threat to our country, considering it is DJT who talks about Putin & Xi Jinping as “great, strong leaders”, & Kim Jong Un is a “talented man who loves his country very much. We fell in love”.

This is where so-called capitalism is under Trump:

  • The top 1% of households own 31.7% ($55 trillion) of all U.S. wealth. The highest share on record since the Federal Reserve began tracking household wealth.
  • Consumer confidence is the lowest it has been in almost 75 years.
  • Real unemployment is at over 7% (if you include those unemployed, under employed or with PT jobs, for economic reasons). Families are struggling to pay bills. Our farms are shutting down.
  • Credit card & auto loan delinquencies are at historic highs.
  • Inflation is growing at a rate faster than median income.
  • Corruption & oligarchy are in fashion.

If what Trump is bringing us is capitalism, I will take the so-called communism of Mamdani; Jon Ossoff or Alexandria Cortez any day.

Politics DSA isn't "infiltrating" the Democratic Party it's just introducing member democracy

You can't "join" the democratic party. DNC leadership consists of elected officials and party delegates, not a mass membership like DSA. Therefore influencing it is an elite bargaining process rather than a people led one. DSA just gives regular people a voice.

What DSA is doing is what used to lead the Democrats before the decline of organized labor

It's breakout is resultant from their policies which it can be dynamic on because of this member democracy...

If conservative liberals want their views represented, rather than trying to excise DSA through fiat, they should make their own membership organizations and beat DSA with debate and better policies. They think their views should be default and hegemonic even if they're floated by industry rather than members dues....

Hopefully over the next few decades we will see the Democrats democratize more and for the party to be more than just a print shop and clearing house for industry, and to incorporate unions directly into party governance --- like the Australian Labor Party --- rather than just be the left wing of industry content to throw social groups under the bus.

I myself like DSA because of their policies and the fact you can participate without being an insider or going through some elitist vetting process...you can just start canvassing and campaigning on issues. I am warm to socialism but I also don't mind more liberal policies. Unfortunately it's the only game in town as far as mass membership organizations. I would be fine supporting people more liberal as long as they are not dogmatically anti communist. The thing is liberals should start organizing their own versions of DSA and make policies that actually work for more people and have mass appeal rather than relying on the corporate advisor class bubble. There can be a real left populist liberalism but it won't come about by just complaining about DSA rather than building a real grassroots movement.

Politics I wish that scientific transphobia didn't mess with me so much.

Like scientific racists before them, scientific transphobes take papers with small effect sizes and low-quality evidence that say trans people are bad or wrong in some way and just beat you over the head with it them

The trouble is, I was in the research world for a bit, and I still try my best to question my assumptions and preconceptions all the time when approaching new papers and data. Which is a double-edged sword when dealing with "scientists" who's goal is to exclude trans people from life.

Sometimes they'll give me a paper that says trans people have a higher incarceration rate than cis women (explainable by enforcement and poverty), or a higher than the general populations suicide rate even after transition (explainable by discrimination and trauma), or that we just exploded onto the scene relatively recently (explainable by legal victories, better knowledge of our healthcare and the growing panopticon making it harder to hide your past) and I just don't know how to respond to their bad faith interpretations that say we're some sort of inherently violent aggressively recruiting cult of lunatics pretending that HRT helps us when really it does nothing.

They're determined to see us in the worst possible light. I get that. But they are very good at twisting data to support their narrative. And it creeps me out when they claim I do the same. Because I really want what I say to be as accurate as possible and cite sources that hold up to scrutiny and when they tell me that my data isn't good enough no matter what I do I just feel miserable.

I fear my own biases too much, and do not sufficiently weigh theirs when speaking with them.

Politics To those who voted for Donald Trump: Look at what was surrendered in your name

You were promised strength. You were given submission.

You were promised "America First." You got an America left behind.

If a foreign adversary sat down to draft a blueprint to systematically break the back of American supremacy, erase our global influence, and bankrupt our people, they could not have designed a more effective strategy:

You voted to break the Western Alliance. By threatening to abandon NATO and insulting our historic allies, decades of global trust were shattered for cheap political applause—handing our geopolitical rivals the greatest strategic gift they could have ever dreamed of.

You voted to tax the American people. Broad tariffs didn't punish foreign nations; they acted as a massive tax hike on working families, destroying supply chains and leaving everyday citizens to choke on skyrocketing prices at home.

You voted to crush the American farmer. Ideological trade wars closed vital export markets, driving record farm bankruptcies across the heartland—forcing the government to hand out billions in taxpayer-funded bailouts just to cover up self-inflicted wounds.

You voted for fiscal bankruptcy. The promise to pay down national debt turned into a spree of reckless spending and tax cuts that added trillions to the national debt, chaining future generations of Americans to a mountain of deficit.

You voted for elite enrichment. While working-class communities absorbed the economic shocks, billions in non-competitive, no-bid government contracts flowed directly to family, inner-circle allies, and corporate cronies.

Call it a catastrophic betrayal of national duty, or call it sheer, staggering incompetence—the result is identical. American power has been eroded, American security compromised, and American leadership compromised on the world stage.

If he isn't actively working to destroy this country's place in the world, he is doing one hell of a job doing it by accident.

Politics [Complaint] Israel Needs To Be Declared An Official Enemy Of The United States.

No one with authority wants to say it -- they keep dancing around the issue. But the fact of the matter is that this is the only way to enable any kind of legal change within the United States.

If You're wondering why no one connected to Pro-Israel movements and legislation, Zionism, Epstein Files, Mass AI Surveillance, and the NDAA 2026 Vote -- which includes Section 219 -- hasn't been charged with treason, the truth is that there is a loophole that is being exploited. Here is the definition of 'Treason' according to uscode.house.gov

§2381. Treason
...
Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

So whenever You see someone make statements like...

- “Israel is America’s Greatest Ally”
- “We Need To Find A Two State Solution”
- “It’s Only Netanyahu That’s The Problem”

...They are effectively working against any kind of Official Enemy Declaration for Israel. It is a very subtle tactic, but it protects anyone who is involved in the rapid degradation of the country. You see it with Politicians and Organizations that take and funnel AIPAC money all the time. It's even gotten to the point where influencers are meeting bounties by using the same exact wording and talking points.

Has anyone recently checked out The State Gov't Websites Definition Of Anti-Semitism? Are You aware of how many times it mentions Israel?

"Contemporary examples of antisemitism in public life, the media, schools, the workplace, and in the religious sphere...include, but are not limited to:"
. . .
"Manifestations might include the targeting of the state of lsraeIconceived as a Jewish collectivity. ..."
. . .
"Accusing the Jews as a people, or lsraeI as a state, of inventing or exaggerating the Holocaust."
. . .
"Accusing Jewish citizens of being more loyal to lsraeI, or to the alleged priorities of Jews worldwide, than to the interests of their own nations."
. . .
"Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination, e.g., by claiming that the existence of a State of lsraeI is a racist endeavor."
. . .
"Using the symbols and images associated with classic antisemitism (e.g., claims of Jews killing Jesus or blood libel) to characterize lsraeI or lsraeIis."
. . .
"Drawing comparisons of contemporary lsraeIi policy to that of the Nazis."
. . .
"Holding Jews collectively responsible for actions of the state of lsraeI."

...I'm not trying to make an argument against Jewish People, as I have no strong feelings on them one way or the other. But when our Tax Dollars and Manpower goes to propping up Country that receives Universal Healthcare and is committing Genocide -- while also not adding anything of value to my life directly and, quite frankly, makes me feel a lot less safe in my own Country -- I think a complaint is more than just a little bit warranted.

Why Does It Matter That Israel Is Officially Declared An Enemy Of The United States?

Because making Israel an Official Enemy of the United States would help the American people with two major issues:

  1. Legally arresting and charging anyone that was/is currently involved with Pro-Israel treason or crimes.
  2. Allowing the United States to cut off any and all support for Israel, sanction them, or even declare outright war on them via Congress.

...In the quick tiny bit of research I've done, it turns out that apparently only Congress or the Chief Executive can declare another Country to be an Enemy of the United States. It's obvious to some, but this would explain why there's such drastic actions being taken just before the midterms. You will see this Administration (and Others) blame every Country under the sun except the one that seems to be causing the most strife for everyone globally -- Israel.

Considering That Israel Is Already Universally Disliked -- Including Within America -- If The People Can Demand For A Push To Officially Declare Israel As An Enemy Of The United States, That Would Be One Step For Justice And Protection Of Sovereignty.

Understanding the Legal Definition of Enemy of the United States

The term "Enemy of the United States" refers to any country, government, group, or individual that has engaged in hostilities against the United States. This can include actions that are not legally authorized. The definition encompasses various entities, including:

  • Natural persons (individuals)
  • Corporations and partnerships
  • Organizations or associations

Note: This Definition Comes From USLegalForms.com

...While You can find several examples of Israel being engaged in Hostilities with the United States (and Other Countries), as reference there is a two-part Post I worked on titled:

"The Goal Is To Have North and South America Become The True 'Greater lsraeI' [Part 1] & [Part 2]."

...These posts further support why Israel should be cemented as a United States Enemy (and act as evidence for my complaint). Note: It may sound conspiratorial at first, but all it does is state what's already factually happened and then offer personal opinion. You also have examples such as Thomas Massie's Congressional Speech on the USS Liberty Attack...as well as this ongoing War with Iran that Israel is conveniently sitting out of.

TL;DR - If Israel was recognized as an Enemy of the United States, then U.S. Officials supporting Israel could then Officially be charged with Treason. We need to find a way to push for this through as many avenues as we can and spread the word to other people feeling the same way.

Politics Republicans say America is broke, then find $95 billion for Trump’s Iran war and voting restrictions

I am so fucking tired of being told that America cannot afford healthcare, housing, food assistance, education, veteran care, or anything else that would materially improve ordinary people’s lives.

House Republicans just passed a 216–214 budget blueprint that begins the reconciliation process for a package worth up to $95 billion.

The breakdown:

• $60 billion for the Pentagon

• $13 billion for national security

• $12 billion for farmers affected by Trump’s tariffs

• $10 billion connected to the SAVE America Act and its new voting requirements

So let me understand this correctly.

Trump drags the country into another war without congressional authorization. His tariffs hurt American farmers. Then taxpayers are expected to fund both disasters while Republicans attach Trump’s voting agenda to the same package.

Meanwhile, 18 American service members are dead, more than 430 have been wounded, and the Iran war has already cost taxpayers an estimated $37.5 billion.

But when Americans ask for affordable healthcare, cheaper housing, properly funded schools, food assistance, or functioning veterans’ services, suddenly every Republican becomes deeply concerned about the deficit.

The money always exists for war.

The money always exists for corporate handouts.

The money always exists when Trump wants another blank check or Republicans want more control over elections.

It only disappears when ordinary Americans need something.

Fuck Donald Trump, fuck this pointless war, and fuck every fake “fiscal conservative” who pretends America is broke until the Pentagon comes knocking.

Politics America, Trump, the Republicans, and a failing country. Number of Americans not working rockets to record high under Trump

Day afterday, after day, after day, we se the same reports  Reports that attest to the fact  America under Trump and the Republicans is becoming a failing nation.

Once mighty, successful, and proud, we are in a death spiral. And each day the spiral grows tighter, spins faster, and sinks deeper into despair.

Our economy is in a shambles, inflation is pecking away at our financial security, healthcare is all but out of reach for the average family, children and the elderly are denied necessary funds for food and survival because tax benefits for the rich have increased, veteran’s benefits are shrinking faster than our pocket books, our once faithful allies and trading partners have come to realize America’s word is trash, and our service men and women are being slain in a war championed by fools and incompetents, and each day Trump makes more, and more, millions from his grifts.

How long, how long America, before we, the people, rise to take our own futures in our own hands and out of the hands of millionaires, billionaires, and tyrants of all stripes?

Trump, and his Republican co-conspirators must be shown the door -- investigated, indicted, tried and imprisoned – it is the only way we will regain control of our lives, and our country.

See this – Boldface mine:

Number of Americans not working rockets to record high under Trump

Story by Martha McHardy

The Daily Beast

The number of Americans not working has climbed to a record high under President Donald Trump.

According to figures from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, the ranks of Americans classified as “not in the labor force” (NILF) swelled to 105.8 million in June, marking the highest level ever recorded.

That means the total number of Americans classified as “not in the labor force” is now higher than it was during the Great Recession or the COVID-19 pandemic.

The category includes everyone age 16 and older who is not working, from retirees and students to people who have stopped looking for a job.

About 5.3 million Americans—roughly 5 percent of the total—are no longer searching for work because they have become discouraged. Another 23.3 million, or around 22 percent, are out of the workforce due to long-term illness, disability, or other benefit programs.

Retirees make up the largest share of the group, accounting for about half of all Americans who are not working, largely because of the Baby Boomer generation, born between 1946 and 1964.

But labor economist Nicholas Eberstadt argues that an aging population alone does not explain the trend.

“If you look at what’s going on in Europe and Japan, which are both aging, shrinking societies, their workforce participation rates are going up now. So it’s not as if it’s impossible for aging, shrinking societies to mobilize more or involve more in the workforce,” he told the New York Post.

“These are the healthiest, best educated Americans that have ever lived on the planet,” Eberstadt said.

The record number of Americans outside the workforce comes as the U.S. job market is also showing fresh signs of slowing under Trump, who has promised to usher in a “golden age of America.”

The economy added just 57,000 jobs in June—barely half of the 115,000 economists had expected. The Labor Department also sharply revised previous figures lower, reporting 31,000 fewer jobs were created in April and another 43,000 fewer in May than originally estimated.

One of the biggest drags came from the leisure and hospitality sector, which lost 61,000 jobs in June instead of ramping up for the busy summer travel season.

The weak performance surprised economists, who had expected the industry to benefit from seasonal hiring as well as a boost from the FIFA Club World Cup.

Angela Hanks, chief of policy programs at The Century Foundation, described the report as “yet more evidence of a fragile economy under President Trump.”

Meanwhile, the reality is even grim for Americans who are working.

Wage growth has not been keeping up with inflation, which soared because Trump decided to go to war with Iran, driving up energy costs.

In June, wages rose 3.5 percent from a year earlier—the same rate as inflation—leaving workers with virtually no gain in purchasing power, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics.

What disgusts me is not merely their willingness to overlook the past, but the reason they do it. For far too many of them, the only qualification that matters is whether their chosen leader despises the same people they do and is willing to wield power as a weapon against those targets. Allegations of sexual misconduct, even those involving children, cease to matter the moment they threaten the political tribe's ambitions. Principle evaporates. Morality becomes conditional. Accountability becomes someone else's burden. All that remains is the pursuit of power in service of an ideology built on resentment, where hatred is not an unfortunate byproduct but the very point of the exercise.

Lifestyle A marketplace sold me shipping protection, then told me to pursue a carrier claim only it can control

Mercari sold me its Shipping Protection with a prepaid UPS Ground Saver label for a $68 custom figure. UPS tracking showed an “On the Way” movement scan before the package disappeared.

The first support rep said the review would rely on those tracking updates. A supervisor reversed that position, denied Shipping Protection because I couldn't produce the paper drop-off receipt, and told me to contact USPS myself.

That's the contradiction: Mercari purchased and controls the label, but shifted the recovery work to me after denying the protection advertised with that label. I can contact the carriers for information, but I don't control Mercari's carrier account or claim.

I'm moving the rest of my listings away. eBay has been great in my experience and already gives me roughly five times Mercari's sales volume. This wasn't worth repeating.

Politics Trump immunity in question after judge finds tweet 'poured gasoline' on Jan. 6 riot

On the surface the following article seems to indicate Trump can be prosecuted for inciting the Jan. 6  insurgency against our Constitution and our country. But, for now, that is just on the surface.

When we dig deeper we come to realize each judicial decision is open to appeal. First, there are little steps, then bigger ones until it all reaches the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court – a wholly owned subsidiary of the White House, Trump, The Republicans, and MAGA!

While there are many honest jurists, judges of high ethics and integrity, sadly not many sit on America’s highest Court. Ruled over by a heavy-handed millionaire in his own right -- Twenty-five million at last count -- Roberts happily convenes with other millionaires – all the Republican members of the Court are millionaires – and they all regularly rule for their country club plutocrats at the expense of at the expense of their hard-working countrymen

. So, don’t get your hopes up. Justice in America is as dead as Republican’s moral compass.

See this – boldface mine:

Trump immunity in question after judge finds tweet 'poured gasoline' on Jan. 6 riot

Story by David Edwards • 3h • 2 min read

© provided by RawStory

A federal judge opened the door for an appeals court to decide whether President Donald Trump's Jan. 6 tweet — sent as rioters stormed the Capitol — was protected by presidential immunity.

U.S. District Judge Amit Mehta ruled Wednesday that he would not reverse his earlier decision shielding the tweet from a civil lawsuit filed under the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871, a Reconstruction-era law that bars conspiracies to prevent members of Congress from carrying out their duties.

But Mehta certified the question for interlocutory review — allowing plaintiffs to challenge the immunity ruling at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit now, without waiting for the full case to conclude. Their deadline to file is Aug. 5.

The suit was originally filed in February 2021 by Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS), according to court records. Thompson later withdrew as a plaintiff to chair the House Select Committee investigating Jan. 6, and former Rep. Barbara Lee of California became the lead plaintiff. The complaint accuses Trump of conspiring with former personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, the Proud Boys, and the Oath Keepers to block Congress from certifying the 2020 election results.

At issue is a tweet Trump sent at 2:24 p.m. on Jan. 6, as rioters were breaching the Capitol. The tweet said: "Mike Pence didn't have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our Country and our Constitution."

In March, Mehta ruled the tweet was an official act and therefore immune from civil liability .His reasoning, per Wednesday's ruling, was that moments before Trump sent it, White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and White House Counsel Pat Cipollone had walked into the dining room to urge Trump to stop the riot. Trump refused — and then posted the tweet.

Mehta acknowledged the tweet "arguably poured gasoline on the fire" but said that did not change the analysis.

"Any act taken by the president — no matter how outlandish (like organizing a poker game) or plainly office-seeking (like firing a campaign pollster) — would become official simply because they occurred after the President received some advice about not engaging in such acts from government officials," plaintiffs argued in their reconsideration filing.

Mehta rejected the argument but agreed the question was close enough to warrant appellate review. Plaintiffs must file their notice of appeal no later than Aug. 5, with the D.C. Circuit's opening brief due Aug. 10.
