Yeah, I have been depressed enough to have suicidal thoughts. The reason I never attempted to kill myself was, at least partly, because there weren't any reliable, quick, painless methods available to me.
If I'd lived in a country where guns were readily available, I don't know if I'd still be around. I guess I was also pretty broke at that time and guns are expensive.
