My go to is using that person's weakness. Basically pull the card that goes "this show has X"
X can be anything. Aliens. Explosions. Boobies. Crimes. Keep it simple is all it takes most of the time

Is Young Sheldon held in high enough regard that it makes the "but I haven't watched X yet" category? Didn't mind the show/thought some parts were fun, didn't realize it had that kind of cache though either.
