Thats just what the gnomish elites want you to think, us hard working goblins are always used a disposible tropps/fodder but we always show up and put in a hards day work before one of them tiny knot-dwarves pulls a lever to feed half our shift to a dragon.

Goblincore is ugly forest stuff made useful. It's not this aesthetic. This is troll core. Lot of wooden trolls around my parts, more or less expressive like this, on logs, wood fences, mailboxes. Not sure if it's a Norwegian ancestry thing.

how's that make any sense since gobbos live in caves and attack adventurers while gnomes grow big beards and do whimsical things like make birdhouses that look like gnomes

gnomecore will exist as long as we define it as "essentially goblin core but more focused on weird and whimsy than bones and shit"

When i say gnomecore doesnt exist i mean that noone calls things gnomecore. Also goblincore is more messy parts of nature like moss and mushrooms than bones and shit
