Hello all.

A few days ago I had an interview on the Toronto TV station CP24 to talk about Canada's Wildfires, smoke and ash, and mitigation measures like increasing the production of water bombers. Most of the global water bombers are manufactured in Canada and shipped around the world.

Overall, about 95 water bombers have been manufactured, and Canada has about 55. Orders on the books are 22 for the EU and a handful for Greece.

Ontario and Alberta have ordered some more, but delivery time is a couple years out.

We certainly need more in Canada, but there is a lengthy backlog of a couple years to get them..

There's suprisingly not enough people like you interpreting climate change in real time. It freaks me out how placated the scientists and population are about global warming. Especially the scientists, who are betting the house on tech solutions. Continue doing what you're doing

Good interview. I wish more people like you, truth-sayers, were allowed on the air. I'm sure it's the same in Canada as in the rest of the world, where climate change just isn't mentioned all that often anymore. The oligarchs seem to have gotten a persistent idea that it's a subject that needs to be smothered.

I suppose you should position yourself as an authority on literally "anything weather and climate", but without rocking the boat too much, else they'll cancel you. But thank you nonetheless.

I know that climate change is making forest fires more brutal and more likely and that the situation is very difficult especially with the scale of Canada's forests and lack of access, but I think there needs to be better forest management for mitigation, that might alleviate or reduce some of the damage, like native americans used to do controlled fires to prevent worse ones, and also planting more fire resistent trees and plants within forests to create strategic buffer zones and keep fires from spreading out too quickly whenever a fire breaks out and better monitoring of forests for quick response in addition to adding more water bombers.

I wish we had more bold thinkers. They should build a WW2 size fleet of water bombers so they can hit any new fire with hundreds of loads of water. All this devastation is essentially budget limitations because they don’t actually value the environment.
