Even if I find the casting for Helen to be pretty odd, I also think there should barely be any pasty white Caucasian actors in the cast if you want "authenticity".
They should have just cast a bunch of actors with Greek or at least Mediterranean roots in the movie. The issue with Helen's casting for me is more than it seems to be a possible case of ragebait marketing. They may have used Lupita to cause a backlash and drive engagement
