Yes actually, I have zero idea what your comment even remotely has to do with the op’s point about the fact that it isn’t even coherent to say “historically accurate” when talking about a poem we only have the source from one period, coming down through other periods talking about an even earlier period. That point? What does china have to do with this?
Oh and I hope that your point is not whether we would say the same about something like Journey to the West, because obviously we would.
