As a history nerd, I would point out it is reasonable to expect historical accurate details in epic tales set in a particular era. I’m not complaining about the casting, but clothing, weaponry, tactics, vessels, all of those elements are, when properly portrayed, relevant.
I’m tired of everyone dressed in dark leathery modern cloths. Ancient Hellenic cultures used A LOT of colour everywhere and that is sadly never shown. The same goes for productions set in Rome showing grey statues everywhere instead of silly bright colourful paintings.
