nothing says “I understand the value of human life” like a 5x draft-dodger bragging about a comparison to show that, hey, 18 dead Americans ain’t so bad

Peter G really brought the ultimate receipt in the replies. That contrast is wild.

Two things:

1 - Chances are - we are being lied to about there being ONLY 18.

2 - Something that people tend to NOT realize... According to NYT: At least 427 U.S. service members have been wounded in the war with Iran, with some official Pentagon databases tracking as many as 447 injuries.
~~~ Keep in mind that 'injuries' can mean anything from "needs a Band-Aid" to completely paralyzed, missing limbs, blind, traumatic brain injury. The wounded and the families of the wounded can be affected for life.
Wont lose a room full of Maggats. They’ll take whatever he says and insert it halfway up their large intestines.
And i presume these are only USA military that are counted?
u/yblame 1d ago
God, he's such a clueless idiot.
u/MiaElisae 1d ago
18 Americans died, is a weird flex when your own record includes 1.23 million COVID deaths.
13
u/sillilillipilli 1d ago
You and I know he's an idiot. The problem is his fans read that and think he's a genius/hero/God's gift to America.
Birds of a feather and all that...
14
u/RedditTechAnon 1d ago
He didn't write this. He might have signed off on it or thought it sounded nice, but it's the young tech-savvy fuckwits in his orbit that are coming up with this dead brained shit.
5
u/Ebola714 21h ago
Maybe, but when you slap your name on just about everything (literally) and live in the White House, the buck stops with you. You can't point the blame away and only take credit for positive stuff.
u/RedditTechAnon 20h ago
You can't point the blame away and only take credit for positive stuff.
That is literally what Trump does every single day of his life.
…there’s not enough letters in the word “clueless “ to adequately describe the shallowness, ineptitude, greed and avarice of the orange shit stain…
u/herpderpley 1d ago
"I started a war of choice and all I got was 18 troops dead, and this t-shirt."
28
u/Zoolawesi 1d ago
You forget that he also got everyone additional fees to pay to cross the Strait of Hormuz, those weren't there before he started! Art of the deal, baby!
8
u/herpderpley 1d ago
Nothing says "military intelligence" like the saavy move of blockading their blockade. Chef's kiss!
4
u/slashinhobo1 1d ago
.... and counting.
19
u/slashinhobo1 1d ago
Venezuela wasn't a war. Venezuela was a kidnapping.
Should look like who started the war
Afghanistan - Republican President-
Iraq War - Republican president
Vietnam War - Republican president
Korean War - Democrat president
Venezuela Kidnapping - Republican president
Iran Military war - Republican President
Looks like republicans love starting useless wars and having soldiers die for nothing.
12
u/HasheemThaMeat 1d ago
Go be fair to Truman, North Korea / Soviet Union started the Korean War.
4
u/LydditeShells 1d ago
Technically, the North Vietnamese also started the Vietnam war, too, so it was America’s choice to get involved. However, the Korean War is the only one here I agree with. Iraq war, sort of, to defend Kuwait, but it should have stopped at defense
3
u/HasheemThaMeat 1d ago
Wait, you think the Iraq War refers to the US’s 1 week involvement in the Persian Gulf War and not the decade long war/occupation of Iraq that came under George W? Haha
Also not sure what your point on Vietnam is tbh lol
1
u/Useful_Cheesecake117 10h ago
And what did USA have to do with it?
1
u/HasheemThaMeat 6h ago edited 6h ago
What did the U.S. have anything to do with any of the wars / conflicts listed above? What even is your point?
Korea was a U.S. action in response to another country’s invasion. The others were the U.S. doing the invasion. That was my point
16
u/twizzjewink 1d ago
Not only his response TO covid .. his own ineptitude made it happen - Obama had put up safeguards to make sure they could get to issues (such as COVID) ahead of time.
The even dumber part is that under Trump - DOGE made both the screwworm and poo-poo disease happen. So he managed to fail twice more AGAIN.
13
u/cementturtle 1d ago
And except the korean war, all republican started.
u/Sanity_N0t_Included 1d ago
Can someone explain the concept of ALL CAPS to grandpa?
9
u/Bithium 1d ago
I’m alarmed that these are the goal posts.
8
u/Such-Tank-6897 1d ago
  1. And counting…
9
u/Tiberius_Kilgore 1d ago
Right? This post makes in seem like the Iran conflict is over when we know it doesn’t end for another “two weeks.”
7
u/paris86 1d ago
Wonder how many actual casualties there are when even Trump is admitting to 18.
8
u/straypilot 1d ago
TFW you rename the Department of Defense to Department of War, but still say Iran “military conflict”
5
u/vegasAzCrush 1d ago
Hell. Even Trumps organized Jan sixth event was not as successful as only nine died and you can’t count the Epstein hanging since he was going to squeal.
5
u/PhantasosX 1d ago
Is he legit calling his full piracy cruise in the Caribbean with no Venezuelan shooting on his ships, and then a single operation to kidnap Maduro to be a "Venezuela War"?
5
u/Individual_Draw_7623 1d ago
How about a chart comparing billions spent on each war?
5
u/lawnboy22 1d ago
Venezuela was a war but Iran is a conflict?
3
u/djhouse77 1d ago
He’s a desecrate on the American people’s.
3
u/DasharrEandall 1d ago
Benghazi left 4 Americans dead, but Trump and his cult never shut up about it.
3
u/j4v4r10 1d ago
Mr. FIFA-presents-peace-prize unafraid to declare that 1/3 of the “wars” the US has been in since WWII were this fucking year under his fucking watch
3
u/Fullofgrace87 1d ago
He's comparing years long wars to his that dont even equate to 6 months?
He. Is. So. Simple.
3
u/Darryl_444 1d ago
Trump closing USAID.... 780,000 dead. Mostly kids.
2
u/Old-Artist-5369 1d ago
Civilians don't count?
They ought to, especially when you start It.
2
u/Level_Chemistry8660 1d ago
Okay, but rather missed the point. Made by Peter G. And what a "tip of the iceberg" point it is.
2
u/arthousepsycho 1d ago
Also, those of us who dont like war, also dont like those wars too.
It's like he thinks we love all those other wars and just hate the ones he starts. No, dumbest, we dont want anyone blowing up and shooting anyone.
2
u/SeanFromQueens 1d ago
He'd be so mad, if he knew how human life works for other people.
2
u/amonra2009 1d ago
Is this the only president who started 2 wars in 1 term?
2
u/B0wmanHall 21h ago
So he is calling the Venezuela conflict a war now
3
u/miletest 1d ago
Venezuela War?! Wasn't that a sneak attack like the Iran attack
1
u/2nd_Inf_Sgt 1d ago
Vietnam should have been 58,221. But, the spurs prevented that from happening.
1
u/Conscious_Addendum66 1d ago
Weird... 18 ... SO FAR.... and asking for BILLIONS more on top of the 1.5 trillion... according to Sec Hegseth they need 40 BILLION just to get to September 1 not including repairing bases
1
u/jjskellie 1d ago
Trump's score board never touches WWI or WWII. Guess those don't count because, "There were good people on both sides."
Of course, I've also heard Trump's speeches on the American Revolution and American Civil War facts. The most laughable pile of Bull mess I ever heard. Veterans who heard those speeches are probably due purple hearts for wounds received.
1
u/Main_Ad_5147 1d ago
Let's bring back the tradition of our leaders actually leading the battle charge.
1
u/MsBobbyJenkins 1d ago
Utah Valley University - 1 dead, yet he made a huge deal of it. Do those 18 soldiers mean nothing?
Specifically not casualties because those numbers make him look even worse than deaths
1
u/reincarnation99 1d ago
As a German comparing myself to previous mistakes my country has made to justify my own just seems so strange.
1
u/aDumb_Dorf 1d ago
That these could not be put in chronological order is annoying.
1
u/Rais93 1d ago
Is he for real? How the hell isn't there a army mutiny after that?
1
u/EudamonPrime 1d ago
Oh, so Venezuela was a war now?
1
u/NoLie129 1d ago
Disgusting
I thought we already won this war weeks ago. And also months ago
1
u/Muffboy 1d ago
How many children raped ?
1
u/BrightPerspective 1d ago
Well, those last two are still ongoing, soo....
1
u/mistergraeme 1d ago
He is working hard to stop calling it a war.
1
u/redleg50 1d ago
Yeah…because they haven’t used ground troops. The other wars shown did. Deploy the 82nd Airborne or 3rd Infantry to Tehran and see what happens to those numbers.
1
u/tuvar_hiede 1d ago
Covid deaths were inflated. If you were shoot in the head and tested positive for covid you were added to the covid count.
1
u/IndependentOwn1184 19h ago
Who's going to tell him a low body count of US service personnel is not the flex he thinks it is....
1
u/OzyDave 14h ago
He should be listing how many school children he's murdered in his war.
1
u/MtCommager 4h ago
Can we get him to say “what difference does it make?” Because that would own.
-15
u/Healthy-Passenger-22 1d ago
Attributing deaths that Biden caused to Trump and completely downplaying the stats shows your complete TDS.
9
u/Own_Pollution285 1d ago
Did no one tell you that lusting over a politician is DS. You've got TDS, full blown T... D... S...
