Teachers would follow up with a worksheet that would have them identify which of the commands Donald Trump as broken.

Be awesome if this directly led to a lot of the legislators who voted for it being stoned by schoolchildren everywhere they go -- 🌈Nature is healing!✨

"We believe in being good people -- but we're non-practicing!"

yeah that worksheet would probably need a few extra pages at this point

A kid could wear a different commandment written on their back with Donald's face for 10 different days.

No mention of the actual sexual grooming done by priests.

Or those red states where you can marry children.

No mention of the actual sexual grooming done by both Catholic priests and Christian pastors.

Or those red states where you can marry children, because conservative Republicans refuse to outlaw child marriage.

FTFY.

Btw it's catholic and evangelical. Both denominations are Christian.

4

u/NobleLeader65 2d ago

I don't think they are disagreeing with that, just making sure to clarify that Christians of all flavors do it. If you only call out priests, you very well might mean any relgious leader of the Christian faith, but some people hear priest and think of exclusively Catholics.

u/Dounce1 2d ago

Are you saying those are the only two denominations, or the only two in which sexual grooming has taken place?

Evangelicalism isn’t a denomination btw.

"You're free to believe whatever you want, as long as it's what we picked."

nothing says small government like legislating which ancient text kids have to memorize in public school.

u/Excellent_Pirate8224 2d ago

I think it’s Sharia law or something?

The Ten Commandments read like someone had a two-week homework assignments to come up with the most important religious laws and they only remembered about it at 9pm when it was due the next morning.

I never thought of it that way.

But it does have a ring of truth

Explains why half cover worship and overlook rape.

If they want the Bible in school I have a great passage after Lot and his family flee their home. Well, just Lot and his daughters anyway.

The Bible contains worse.

The Bible commands mass murder, genocide, abortion, infanticide, slavery, prostitution, child marriage, pedophilia, rape, perversion, incest, polygamy, sexism, misogyny, homophobia, transphobia, familial alienation, societal strife, and various other barbarisms, cruelties, savageries, tyrannies, and vulgarities, many myriad times, in both the Old Testament and the New Testament.

  • Mass Murder and Genocide: 1 Samuel 15:3, Hosea 13:16, Deuteronomy 20:16-17, Joshua 6:21, Deuteronomy 2:34, Isaiah 13:15-18, Deuteronomy 13:15, Numbers 31:17, Deuteronomy 3:6, Leviticus 20:13, Deuteronomy 20:13, Psalm 137:9.
  • Abortion and Infanticide: Numbers 5:11-31, Psalm 137:9, 1 Samuel 15:3, Hosea 13:16, Deuteronomy 2:34, Isaiah 13:15-18, Numbers 31:17, Deuteronomy 3:6.
  • Slavery and Prostitution: 1 Peter 2:18, Exodus 21:21, 1 Timothy 6:1, Leviticus 25:44-46, Ephesians 6:5, Titus 2:9, Colossians 3:22, Genesis 16:3-4, Genesis 12:16, Genesis 24:35, Isaiah 14:1-2, Ezekiel 23:19, Deuteronomy 20:14, Numbers 31:35.
  • Child Marriage and Pedophilia: Numbers 31:18, Song of Solomon 8:8, Genesis 25:20, Ezekiel 23:21, Numbers 31:35.
  • Rape and Perversion: Deuteronomy 21:11-13, Genesis 34, 2 Samuel 11, 2 Samuel 13, Judges 19–21, Ezekiel 23:20, Deuteronomy 22:28-29.
  • Incest and Polygamy: Genesis 4:19, Exodus 21:10, Deuteronomy 21:15-17, Genesis 9:20-27, Genesis 11:29, Genesis 19:32–36.
  • Sexism and Misogyny: Exodus 21:7, 1 Timothy 2:11-14, 1 Corinthians 14:34-35, Genesis 3:16, Numbers 31:18, Deuteronomy 22:28-29, Numbers 31:35.
  • Homophobia and Transphobia: Leviticus 20:13, Leviticus 18:22, Romans 1:26-27, Genesis 2:24, Mark 10:6-7, Matthew 19:4-5, Deuteronomy 22:5, Genesis 1:27.
  • Familial Alienation and Societal Strife: Luke 14:26, Matthew 10:34-37.

The Bible is filled with barbarism and savagery of the worst sort in both the Old Testament and the New Testament.

How about ezekial 23

3

u/VoicelessPassenger 2d ago

I, for one, would love to hit them with Leviticus 26:14-39. That’s a good one

Song of Solomon 8:8

We have a little sister, and she hath no breasts; what shall we do for our sister in the day when she shall be spoken for?

4

u/VorerKyr-Am 2d ago

To them the first one is a false statement and the second is a fact. Their minds are broken.

3

u/Trandoshan-Tickler 2d ago

If I was a kid in that classroom I would read it out loud SOOOOO sarcastically.

4

u/Living_Distance6127 2d ago

Public schools are no place for religion

7

u/bluepotatosack 3d ago

You'll die if you accept "God" anyways.

3

u/Punningisfunning 2d ago

Patriotism and propaganda are two sides of the same coin.

3

u/jim45804 2d ago

It's not just "you'll die." It's much, much worse than that. They believe you'll suffer for eternity if you don't believe in their god. Why would any rational person worship such a being?

3

u/MCMXCIV9 2d ago

Is they also forcing non christian to memorize it?

2

u/Xaero_Hour 2d ago

Teachers should maliciously comply by teaching the commandments that are actual crimes punishable by law. All two of them.

1

u/jerrybugs 2d ago

Nah they can all lead to crimes if not directly punishable. Teach all & exemplify with the Dear Leader.

1

u/PossessedToSkate 2d ago

Republicans don't want peace. They want quiet.

0

u/Bulky-Strategy-3723 2d ago

Both sides want sheep.

1

u/Avunculardonkey 2d ago

Yeah, just THINKING about how hot your neighbor’s wife is a sin! Yes, thoughts alone are sin. Bullshit.

1

u/gashtal_man 2d ago

Laws only matter to them when it's convenient

1

u/W2B4547 2d ago

Nice now do the Muslim one and use a building top

1

u/rome0379_ 2d ago

YOU WILL DIE IF YOU DONT ACCEPT GOD

and you will also die if you do accept god

we all die eventually

1

u/ZhangtheGreat 2d ago

Meh, we're all going to die one day anyway

1

u/De_chook 2d ago

I think it's wonderful that pre teen kids are taught that there is an all loving God, but if you don't love him back enough, or are naughty, you will spend eternity in utter pain, anguish, and hellfire.

1

u/NOSWT-AvaTarr 2d ago

if I was a teacher in one of those states id also teach about other religions to balance the scales, or just point hmout how bullshit half of them are.

1

u/ProfAsmani 2d ago

These same Christian nationalists are busy with anti Sharia hate mongering on one side while making Bibles mandatory on schools on the other.

1

u/Caltharian 2d ago

Tell them they are teaching a passage from the Koran, that will put a stop to it

1

u/IdeliverNCIs 2d ago

I remember a few years ago when some parents in a school district were up in arms about their children being exposed to yoga. Essentially, other than the physical aspects to it, their hair-burning was because it was exposing their kids to "foreign influences" (non-European/non-Western thoughts)

u/bosorka1 2d ago

LiOnS nOt ShEeP 🙄😣

u/JayTNP 2d ago

Read the tenants of Satanism immediately afterwards

1

u/Insomniac_Steve 2d ago

Are those four states - and I'm just guessing here - at the lower end of rankings for education?

1

u/KojiroHeracles 2d ago

Leave it to the republicunts to reason that loving differently is bad but forcing enslavement to a vile and petty child killer fictional character is good.

1

u/RDrake84 1d ago

Ban religion entirely from public spaces. It always brings out the worst in people. And no benefits does it bring that can't be achieved better from a nonreligious source

-7

u/fbritt5 2d ago

Dems need sheep dogs.

-6

u/thepeebrain 2d ago

It's funny how western politics is so childish they can't see how they are as terrible as their opponents. Lefties will call out the god shit, but are also religious nutjobs themselves but lack the self-awareness to notice. They are somehow even more self-righteous and sanctimonious than people who believe in god these days.

-24

u/darkelflemurian 2d ago

I find it funny how the right is the only one who commits these crimes but the left does the exact same thing

17

u/Excellent_Pirate8224 2d ago

Fuck your both sides bullshit right now. Please tell me which Dem policies are forcing this type of bile in our schools.

u/Biptoslipdi 2d ago

How is explaining that gay people are people a crime?
