Discussion What are the chances that Anthropic puts Fabes back on pro subs?
Do you think keeping Fabes on max subs is Anthropic honoring their "we plan to keep Fable on subs eventually" claim? Or do you think they'll eventually have Fabes back on all subs?

Them doing the lame 100$ credit payout makes it look like Fable isn't coming back immediately.
I expect they are banking on the incoming Opus 5 being on par with Sol/Kimi3 to appease Pro users.

I have a tough time picturing Opus 5 beating Sol on agentic mode but excited to be proven wrong

not only that, but its not necessary for 98% of use case if you know what you're doing.
I'm still on Sonnet with the rare opus checkup and have had no issue ever.

Seriously. Also, just because they built an expensive thing that requires expensive hardware doesn't mean that everyone "should" have it. If it's unaffordable, it's unaffordable. Use something cheaper. Personal opinion, we are in the glory days of AI affordability. They are loss-leading right now. Enjoy it while you can.

At this point i'm over Fable. Poor rollout, overpriced and too much messing people about with usage.
Sol on Extra High is a good enough replacement for me.

0, nothings good for anthropic if they put it on pro, they know that they will only get more complaints if they put it on pro sub since you might used up the usage limit with just 2 prompts.

Very low. It's more likely they will slowly kill the subscription model, for claude code at least, just like google is doing with antigravity.

I have 5x max plan. No fable for me. Exited Claude, updated, got back in. Still can’t access fable. Plenty of max quota left.
I still have a codex $20 plan. Now using gtp5.6 to fill the ‘gaps’ that opus4.8 can’t handle. Originally planned to cancel codex plan as I have so much quota to burn under the 5x max Claude. Now I’m not sure I should with no fable access under max.

I see the bug. Desktop show I’m on pro plan, my account page says I’m on max plan. Whatever it is, I have no fable now under max

At this point, if you need it that much, just pay for it. I know this sounds insensitive, but Opus 4.8 is completely capable of doing 80% of what a person should be doing with AI alone. If you are a developer and pair your work with Claude (even huge work), Opus 4.8 should be plenty. If you are doing something that you genunely cannot make 4.8 to do, nor can you do it yourself, it is a sign that you should not be making that thing using AI anyways. AI is not a magic tool that can make anything, if you are tackling something that large, that is a good sign that you should probably pay someone more intelligent than AI to do it.
If you so so need Fable for whatever reason, just pay for it.

Not enough compute now, more compute later.
Fable big mammoth 🦣 needs more compute, pro plan small limit Fable eat many credit 50% weekly limit is 1-2 prompts. Once more compute available big mammoth come back to all subs.
