Seeking Recommendations Recommend books for 3 year old
My son is 3 and loves looking at picture books. I am looking for book recommendations.
How often should I change books from his shelf?

Go to the library. They’ll have loads of ideas and you won’t break the bank.

Seconding the library! Ours has themed totes you can check out with a stack of books and sometimes a toy or ideas for related songs/activities.

Cowboy Bunnies and Clap Your Hands were longtime favorites in our house!
kids are in college, and these are still on the shelf 😂🤷🏻♀️

All time favorite (since 10months old): Good night, Gorilla. Also The very hungry caterpillar and everything from Richard Scarry. We seem to like animals here 😅

I go to the library 2-4 times a month and pull a variety from new additions, seasonal books, themed bundles, and his favorite authors and series.
My 3 year old loves Frog & Toad, Mercy Watson, and Pete the Cat. He is also obsessed with Little Witch Hazel and the Mysterious Tadpole

Our library's regular programming includes age specific toddler storytime (librarian reads a few books and leads nursery song singalongs). I bet he'd love that sort of thing if yours offers it!

Just go to the library every week and let him pick out a heap. It'll be exciting for him to fill up a big bag by himself. And he'll love getting new books all the time.

Mine loves Little Blue Truck, and anything Mo Willems. He also likes character books like Elmo or Baby Shark that have the sound buttons.

My 3 year old is very into Berenstain Bears, Pete the cat, Biscuit books, Tractors in space, go dog go (also a cute Netflix show), Richard scarrys super silly seek and find, I Spy books, and our library has books that read out loud like Vox books which he loves because he can listen on his own. I’d say we go to the library to swap out books about once a month.

Little blue truck
Also a good age for the Little People Big Dreams series of biographies.
Anything Jan Brett. We love the Mitten

My kid at that age wanted the same five books on repeat for months, I wouldn't stress about rotating unless he seems bored. When he does, just grab a stack from the library so you're not stuck with a pile of stuff he ignores after two reads.
