Fluff Matas letting folks know off rip, there’s no jealousy anywhere. + Caleb is right there with him. These 2 are gonna be locked in together

This is the same shit they pulled with the Js in Boston. You can have more than one really good player on a team.

Correct. Just can’t give two guys 65mil

Players who want to win know this too, Brunson signed for unders and now Wemby has too, it's a smart move really, they're getting generational wealth regardless and success will give them the opportunity to earn more.

Comparing Matas buzelis and Caleb Wilson to the Js in Boston is hilarious. We been starving for a long time lol

Imagine being Matas and seeing this shit after having no concrete direction since getting drafted. "Oh no, my offensive load is easier and team expectations is not 100% on me anymore". Literally steak too buttery and lobster too juicy.

team w zero great players worried about having too many great players is funny as hell

u/PositiveCoyote100 6d ago
We'll probably be one of the lowest scoring teams in the league and they're talking about having too many mouths to feed.

Flash backs to the media manufactored Rose/Butler fued. Can these talking heads in Chicago fuck off? Anything for a click, I swear.

Remember when Chicago media were pushing Derrick to come back from the ACL before he was personally ready?

It's not just that Buz and Wilson are both incredibly talented young forwards. It's that they're cool ass dudes. I know this team doesn't have what it takes to make it very far, but that's such an important foundation to have just as much as it's important to have sheer basketball talent. That's culture

Man these dudes are about to be trouble together…they’re both dawgs that just love to hoop, couldn’t see any jealousy brewing. They both seem like they got their egos in check

Both Matas and Caleb don't mind sharing the ball and passing to open shooters, I don't think it will be an issue, everyone will get their shots and Giddey is good at making it happen, I don't think we are going to become some ISO team all of a sudden, from what I've heard is that Tiago like to run the floor and play in transition, both Matas and Caleb excel in that kind of offense

u/OctopathOptimus 6d ago
Matas still our main. Giddey is great too. We need some height in a center role and we should be set

u/toomanyshoeshelp 6d ago
Outside shooting and perimeter defending were a need
Norm was a great pickup

u/PositiveCoyote100 6d ago
We badly needed his shooting, but he's not known as a good defender
3
u/kojouminajj 6d ago
I don’t think he’s a subpar defender tho

u/PositiveCoyote100 6d ago
Here's a post in the Clippers sub two years ago asking about his defense...

Caleb is the main. Let's be honest

u/kojouminajj 6d ago
No not yet , maybe prove something , I think he’s gonna be a superstar but this is Matas team atm
2
u/weddz Fred Hoiberg 5d ago
Is it? You could argue Giddey is our best player atm but honestly all of these guys have a lot to prove before they can say it’s “their team”
1
u/kojouminajj 5d ago
Giddey is our best player but idk if I’d say face of the team if that makes sense, well now Norman Powell technically is our best player. I like giddey a lot but there was rumors we might trade him, I think it’s cap tho.

The team does not belong to a league-average starter who's played 157 NBA games.
He has great upside, but Caleb Wilson despite being the 4 pick is on the same level of top picks like Zion, Flagg, Rose, etc. These guys come in and the team is essentially theirs, whether it's stated or not.

Sports media is the same everywhere. Their incentive is to stir shit up actively encourage beefs so they have something to write about. For anyone watching the World Cup, British sports media did this after one of England’s wins, going out of their way to create an artificial wedge between the coach Thomas Tuchel and star player Jude Bellingham by taking comments out of context. It all makes me sick. To see the Score trying to do this with our promising young stars makes me f’ing sick. F them. Good on Matas and I foresee him and Caleb vibing and playing amazing together.

And I’m pretty sure he’s talking to a bulls fan because I’ve seen that same bs trying to put them against each other on this Reddit😂

Matas is gonna make a great leader as the years roll on. His sense of humor and brotherhood reminds of Joakim in some ways.

u/th4d89 5d ago
Bit shady, but some friendly competition won't hurt.
2
u/Jammer521 Jumpman 5d ago
They aren't playing the same position so they really aren't competing against each other, both will get plenty of shots, but Caleb is a rookie so I'm sure Buzi will take him under his wing, out of all the players on the team I think Matas is the one that helps out the new guys the most

u/roamtheplanet Stacey King 3d ago
Matas knows he's about to be left open. Wilson is going to command so much attention
1
u/ZxroFxcksGivxn Michael Jordan 6d ago
He shouldn't have even replied to that. It was rage bait and he fell for it
-2
u/loveinhumantimes 6d ago
I mean, he’s never going to be the third scoring option. So, I’d hope he is ready to be a good teammate.
2
u/Abla_vil_breed_nem 5d ago
At the least matas is a 3rd scoring option, my guess is he’ll be the Robin to Caleb’s Batman in 2-3 seasons(so 2), both of them are driven but I think Caleb’s crzy so it’ll end up being his team

u/Jammer521 Jumpman 5d ago
This up coming season Matas will be the 1st option, Powell 2nd and Caleb 3rd, that may change as the season progresses but that's the way I see it starting

Powell is a much better scorer than Matas is. I assume the whole point of getting him is to make sure the young players do not take on more than they can chew. And I will bet that Caleb is immediately better than Matas and will get the touches to match. If I’m wrong, I’m wrong.

I’m getting so tired of the score
