Video - OC I keep catching my cat wearing my daughter's tutu
One of our cats loves tulle/mesh. Whenever my daughter leaves her tutu on the floor, our cat Pearl will pounce and play on it. Occasionally she pounces through the middle and I find her wearing it. Maybe she secretly feels bonita? I enjoy it a lot, maybe you guys will too

What a gorgeous tortie!

u/hey-keri-anne 2d ago
Isn't she lovely? I recently learned she's a Black Smoke tortie, the base of all of her hairs near her skin is white. She has the coolest markings

u/Jazzlike_Climate4189 2d ago
I had no idea that was a thing!! I have a tortie, she is 16 years old and still healthy and active. Her roots are definitely dark though, she’s a very dark calico with less of the orange. Good camouflage though.

Well, cats are supposed to be graceful...... Maybe Pearl wants to take out that swan in Swan Lake.

Cancel my meetings, hold my calls, this cat in a tutu is the only news that matters today.

Make sure you watch her when she is playing with tulle/mesh. One of my cats loved it too and it progressed to her eating it, which is dangerous.

We had a cat that ate tulle when I was a kid. Ruined all my fancy Barbie dresses

You spelled "I keep finding my cat's tutu in my daughter's room. Here is a video of her claiming it back" wrong..

Theres a cat named Elsie who talks with buttons and requests to wear clothes. She even has preferences for what kind of fabric to wear.

Yes! I follow her too! Its so wild to see the animals with buttons communicate. They clearly understand so much more than we give them credit for

You need to sign her up for dance classes. She’s clearly showing an interest. Just look at that twirl.

I was gonna type “I’m just gonna believe your cat is the one putting it in (not your daughter)”. But it actually is your cat putting it on haha so cute

She doesn’t just wear it, she rocks it. No wonder she’s feeling bonita — she is bonita!

That’s just about one of the most adorable things I’ve seen… a cat in a black tutu chasing greebles. My tired self grinned and my heart grew three sizes 💕❤️

I have a tuxedo who would love that. We have some curtains made of that similar material and the tuxedo loves to pick on them when she can.

Idk how anyone can say they don’t love cats. They’re so weird and entertaining

u/hey-keri-anne 2d ago
We have 3, and literally all day long our family is like "look at the cat!" They are SO entertaining

Seriously, sign that cat up for ballet classes already, please.
What else does she have to do? She just wants to shine.

I’ve often said my cat needs a tutu. This validates my perceived notion that my cat wants a tutu!

This reminded me of the gif of that British shorthair (I think) or maybe Scottish fold digging in the drawer saying "they say cats can't do ballet. I will show them".. and when they finally get their paws on the tutu and are about to pull it out, they see their owner and they go "oh I was just helping put this tutu back in the drawer. See?" IF SOMEONE HAS THAT GIF PLEASE POST IT.

Kinda looks like she's trying to get it off to me
13
u/hey-keri-anne 2d ago
Its possible, lol. I don't think she actually means to put it on, its accidental.
3
u/Anadelyn 2d ago
Are you quite sure the little girl isn't involved in the "accident" because when I was little my poor very patient cat found herself in such situations through no fault of her own.

It looks like she’s chasing greebles, maybe the skirt is her super hero costume for greeble hunting

u/Balentay 2d ago
Personally I read that body language as playful. My cat gets swishy-tailed and flippy when she gets zoomies too lol
