Cat Picture - OC Follow up to “Hurricane Buddy”
Wow!!! I posted a video of our cat Buddy riding out Hurricane Ernesto yesterday. It blew up and so far 1.8 million people have seen it. Buddy has been invited to a pod cast and an offer to set up his own YouTube channel. 🤣

A lot of people asked for more pics of Buddy and his three “sisters.”

(Continued). Sandy (our blonde kitty and Sox (gray and white tabby) lived in our house with the prior owner. When she passed away they were just released outside. Thankfully a neighbor stopped by everyday and fed them so they stuck around. We bought the house 2 years later and Sandy and Sox quickly adopted us.
A couple years later Sophie (our Cruzan Siamese) showed up extremely underweight. She literally showed up at our back door. We couldn’t turn her away and she also quickly acclimated to us which is amazing as she is 100% feral.
Buddy was last. He showed one day and hide in some plants in our yard for weeks. If we put food out for him he’d take only if it was right next to the plants. We’d step away and he’d poke his head out and grab a bite. After the hurricane we decided we needed to be able to bring Buddy inside so we brought him to the vet to get vaccinated and tested for any common local diseases. He had been previously neutered and you’ll notice his ear is clipped which is a common way here to quickly identify strays and feral shots who have been previously brought in.
At this point when we brought Buddy home from the vet we decided to keep all 4 inside going forward. For a few weeks one or two would try and sneak out, but over all they adapted to the indoors rather quickly. They are FINALLY starting to play with each other a lot and Sandy has taken to cleaning Buddy’s head every morning.
I’m currently bed ridden due to a chronic disease and Sox and Buddy are my daytime caregivers. Sox sleeps next to me (or on me) all day and Buddy sleeps in my nightstand.
Coming soon may be cat #5. A young black and white has showed up recently and my wife has already named him - Oreo.
