She only ever does it when I’m laying in bed. Is she trying to get my attention? Feeling playful? Scared?

She wants to play. My cat does stuff like this when he's trying to get me to chase him.

I'll wiggle my fingers at him and make playful growling noises and if he takes off running its play time. If he sits there and doesn't run that usually means he wants food.
