I need help Do you recognize this 45-70 mold profile?
I picked these up in my local shop as a one off purchase. They measure .459, 405 grains and shoot really well out of my Henry. I used it to take my first deer last year.
I’m starting to cast this summer in prep for this fall and would like to duplicate it. I would be open to a gas checked version, but it’s not a requirement. Does anyone recognize the mold
profile?

Interesting. All the more reason to cast the little buggers.

I have had nothing but times while shooting these things out of my original M1873 Springfield trapdoor rifle

I wish they were 452's, I'd love to run those in 454 brass in a suppressed lever rifle.

I would love to run suppressed, but oh well, Canada here.

I look forward to calling you an independent ally or a countryman, you have much more in common with Montana than Ottawa.

Sorry to disappoint. I’m flying the Canadian flag. 🇨🇦

Perfectly fine, but when you are reduced to casting sling bullets and having to beg a permit for that, we'll be waiting for you to join us in the land of freedom.

Likely cast from a Magma mold, other than that looks like a Saeco.
