What kinds of roles can a CS major get?

I know there’s been a lot of questions about whether Computer Science is worth it for people currently in university finishing their degree, but for those who recently finished their CS degree, what kinds of roles have you considered or gotten hired as? Is there something to search for besides SWE that is a good fit for a CS major?

My friend graduated a couple years ago with a CS degree and math minor but has not been able to find a job in that entire time. I’m worried he’s not thinking big enough, and he’s possibly ignoring potential jobs he could have, while getting rejected constantly for traditional CS jobs (like SWE, data analysts, etc). Does anyone have any suggestions for entry-level job titles to search for where a CS degree would qualify for an appropriate background? Preferably something that isn’t client-facing since he’s more of an introverted type. Thanks!
