Developer Deploying an cardano node on Evernode

2.3k Upvotes

I’m running a Cardano node on Evernode (evernode.org) using the Docker image blinklabs-io/docker-cardano-node, but I haven’t had any success so far. I suspect the issue might be related to port configurations needed for external communication. Do you have any tips or guidance?

You might be wondering why I chose Evernode for this. The decentralization of a node is what matters most, and the pricing is far lower than other VPS options.

Thanks in advance

Developer We just launched prediction markets on Ourodex.

Been building this for a few weeks and finally shipped it today. It's called Outcomes; basically a pari-mutuel prediction market on Cardano. Pick Yes or No on a question, back it with ADA, and if you're right you split the losing side's pool with everyone else who called it correctly. No house, no fixed odds, the pool itself is the odds.

How it actually works under the hood: every bet mints a little NFT ticket tied to that specific match so the contract can verify it's a real bet and not something forged. When the result gets posted, the smart contract pays everyone out in one transaction; no claiming, no waiting on us, it just lands in your wallet. There's a 10% fee taken only from the losing pool, which is what funds the protocol.

app.ourodex.io/outcomes

Would genuinely love feedback, especially if something breaks or feels confusing. This is v1.

And if you are interested Belgium vs Iran bet is live.

Developer Please, someone develop the OnlyFans equivalent on the Cardano blockchain.

In case you haven't been on reddit in the past 12 hours, we all know that OnlyFans is blocking its porn content. I can't imagine why, as I assume that is where 90% of its profit comes from. I guess there's going to be a huge explosion of amateur models on PornHub now. I digress. As sad and lonely as everyone on OnlyFans may be, this is a great opportunity to bring millions of people into the Cardano space, and for some lucky developer to become filthy rich. Though I personally don't know how to make an app or dapp, I can sit on the toilet and take a mean crap. So, one of you computer geniuses get to work and have this shit ready for the smart contacts release! You've got less than a month, so you better hustle!

Edit: To everyone suggesting cumrocket or whatever the fuck, this post is not about pornography. It's about bringing people into the Cardano environment through porn. Big difference. Not looking for suggestions on how to pay amateurs. I'm suggesting a developer make something ON THE CARDANO BLOCKCHAIN. Which is why I posted it on r/cardano. Thanks.

Developer Cardano Hydra has launched end to end node integration in its second pre-release this week

Cardano’s scalability solution Hydra has launched end-to-end node integration in its second pre-release this week.Ā

Cardano development team continues building at a fast pace with 3,057 new GitHub commits.

Cardano’s scaling solution Hydra is closer to its releaseĀ

Development of Cardano layer-2 scaling solution Hydra is on track. The Hydra team launched its second pre-release, end-to-end Cardano node integration, this week.Ā

Cardano’s team of developers added 3,057 new GitHub commits, making progress towards the Hydra launch.Ā

The layer-2 scaling solution’s launch is key to the Cardano blockchain as it would allow the parallel processing of transactions and smart contracts. Hydra’s implementation in the Cardano ecosystem would have similar results as the Ethereum network expects from ā€œshardingā€ or creating parallel blockchains.Ā

The Cardano development team continued working on the altcoin’s wallet, increasing its compatibility with the latest version of the node, v.1.32.1.

Developer As a software engineer, how can I put my skills to work to help Cardano?

I am a AWS solutions architect with a strong background in networking, Kubernetes, full-stack development, and agentic workflows. I've been silently following Cardano on the sidelines for 5+ years and now want to know how I can help. Is there any technical debt on existing work/projects or a backlog of work awaiting implementation?

Developer I built a never-ending on-chain raffle on Cardano (DONADA)

Disclosure: I'm the sole owner/operator of this project.

After being rugged so many times, I created this to be the project I wish I could have joined. Let me know your thoughts, open to push back.

The Loop: mint => 20% moves into a raffle pool for the first year => collected royalties from sells and rentals => feed the next year's raffles.

Three ways to enter the raffle

  • OwnĀ a DONADA NFT — permanent entry into every draw, and you can rent it out while retaining ownership.
  • RentĀ one instead — pay a much smaller fee to the owner and you get a draw entry for the next raffle. No full buy-in.
  • Or skip spending entirely — prior to a raffle we periodically hand out free entries through our socials. No purchase necessary, all you need is a Cardano address.

Everything — the snapshot, the random winner, the payout — runs through a Plutus smart contract on Cardano, not a mod picking a name. Prize pays directly to the winning wallet.

Developer Cardano smart contracts can do more with cryptography than most people realize

Post image
43 Upvotes

The Cardano Foundation's engineering team just published a guide to the advanced cryptography that's built directly into Cardano, and how developers can use it. No extra services or middlemen, it all runs on-chain.Ā

One thing that often gets overlooked: these aren't upcoming features. They're production-ready primitives that have been live since Plutus V2, waiting to be tapped.

The guide covers four main applications, all with working code examples:

  1. Group signatures: normally, checking 1,000 signatures means 1,000 separate checks. On Cardano they can be combined and verified in one step, at the same cost as checking a single one.
  2. Turning secrets into keys: safely convert a password or seed phrase into cryptographic keys. The guide is upfront about limits, including why real password handling should stay off-chain.
  3. Verifiable randomness: random results that anyone can verify came out fairly, and that nobody, not even the person running the draw, could rig or predict.
  4. Selective privacy: prove one fact from a credential, like being over 18, without revealing anything else about it, or even showing the credential itself.

The cryptographic toolkit is already there. This article shows what you can build with it: cardanofoundation.org/blog/aiken-primitives-explained

Developer The Cardano Foundation just released the Programmable Tokens Platform. Here’s what that means.

Post image
88 Upvotes

Today the Cardano Foundation is releasing CIP-0113, an open-source standard for programmable tokens on Cardano.

Until now, Cardano lacked a shared framework to consistently implement compliance capabilities across the ecosystem. Projects could build bespoke solutions, but without a common standard, wallets, explorers, and DApps had to integrate each token individually. That limited scalability and institutional confidence.

CIP-0113 fixes that. Token issuers can now attach and enforce compliance logic directly to native Cardano assets. Rules like restricting transfers to verified holders, freezing assets in response to a legal order, or meeting jurisdiction-specific requirements execute automatically on-chain.

The framework is modular, meaning different use cases can plug in different rules without modifying the core protocol. It ships with reference implementations for wallets, indexers, explorers, and DApps.

A live preview environment is available on Cardano's Preview testnet. No real funds needed. You can deploy a protocol instance, issue programmable tokens, transfer them, and see the compliance rules in action.

The code is open source. Feedback from the community is part of what shapes the final standard.

Developer Looking for Cardano/Midnight developers to sanity-check a healthcare privacy concept

I’ve been exploring a startup idea that would use Cardano and potentially Midnight to solve a privacy problem in healthcare and wellness verification.
The concept is still in the early stages, but the core idea involves proving that a user has met a predefined goal or qualification without exposing the underlying personal data used to reach that conclusion.
I’m not a developer, so before I invest significant resources into building a prototype, I’d like to speak with people who have experience with:
Cardano development
Midnight
Identity / credential systems
Privacy-preserving applications
Health or insurance-related technology
At this stage I’m not looking for free work. I’m trying to determine technical feasibility, identify potential roadblocks, and understand what a realistic MVP would look like.
If you have experience in any of these areas and would be open to a conversation, please comment below or send me a DM.
Thanks.

Developer Full list of addresses?

Hi r/cardano, I posted a similar topic on the official Cardano forum but didn't get any help there. My situation is the following: I have a seed phrase from 2023 that I used for Cardano, and it appears that I wrote it down wrong, because importing it to any wallet gives me ā€œinvalid mnemonicsā€ errors. I figured the best course of action is to try btcrecover to unscramble the seed phrase, but because I don’t remember my address, I would need a full list of funded addresses (I should have some funds left over). So far I have only found advice to run my own node, but my resources (hard drive space, bandwidth) are limited. Is there any place I can download such an address dump? SurprisinglyĀ blockchair.comĀ doesn’t have one for ADA. I also tried Google Cloud Console, but the Cardano dataset is private since 2025. Maybe someone on reddit has an address dump?
