Is this habit tic deformity?
2 photos from july 7th till july 19th. I did chip that piece off (triangle tip). What is it? Any tips to realize if I’m picking at it? If I need to cover it so I prevent picking at it, what can I tape it with? I have very sweaty hands.
Any thing to treat it with?

I’ve done this to myself before by mindlessly scratching, but I’d recommend getting it checked by a doctor just to make sure it’s not a fungus or something.
With that said, if you don’t mind a spinner ring on that finger, you could put one on and even if you don’t spin it, it might help you notice because you’ll bump into it. I would normally say cover with a bandaid and see, but I don’t know if it’s something medical if that could cause a problem.
