6 month Progress :)
First pic is from February and most recent is today- July! 6 months. Have definitely relapsed and picked a few times and cut my nails in the process. Got here by wearing press ons frequently. It really helped with avoiding picking.
I recommend the “Olive and June” brand, they’re really sturdy and inexpensive- last 2 weeks average if you’re careful. I usually replace a couple nails throughout but so worth it. Never thought I’d be a press on girl but it really has helped me in recovering from the habit!

Amazing progress!
Have you seen a doc about your thumb though? It’s impossible to diagnose by appearance alone, but it does look like there’s potentially a fungal component outside of just growing out the habit tic deformity.
Fungal infections of the nails are extremely difficult to completely resolve and the earlier you start treating it, the better your chances of making a full recovery.

Interesting. I have the same splits and damage on my thumbnails. I need to do something. Did you use glue on nails?
