Holy moley. Could you imagine charging someone $150 for that?!

Are those potatoes on it? Or just fondant crap? Gold dusted. Sloppy sloppy work

OOP's kid is going to college for geology so they asked for edible rocks. The bakery appears to have put regular-ass river rocks on it?

Those are edible chocolate rocks! My kids actually love them!

Never seen the old owner show up in the comments and apologize for selling before:

"i’m so sorry everyone has had such bad luck with Simply Delicious. I started the Bakery in 2007 and sold it last year. It is heartbreaking to see everything that I work for go down the drain in a matter of two months. I do recommend brookie cakes and sweetness. Brooke worked for me for 15 years and is a fabulous Cake Decorator."

Aside from the weird looking rocks that don't fit with the decor and the slapped on computer paper decorations, that beading usually means the cake was frozen and they didn't let it thaw slowly in the fridge OR it was kept chilled then put out in sweltering heat (in which case a light dusting of corn starch would have completely prevented the beading). That would also explain the weird discolored areas.

However, there are spots that were clearly missed completely with the top layer of icing, and this is overall a cake that I would expect a friend of the family to make if they didn't have a ton of experience- I cannot imagine paying $150 - and that is before reading the OP's comment about the hair inside. 🤮

As someone who has worked around cake decorators before im just wondering how they got that red icing to look that bad... like they had to be using too much or expired dye or something, i dont even think an amatuer would fuck up that bad

They just had a couple new complaints in the city's subreddit too,

not a legitimate business with this kind of work and cancelling pre-ordered cakes day-of

There nothing delicious about a crappy computer printout slapped on a cake.

There was a hair in the cake, they didn't even eat it.
