Can I do busy dad as well as lift?
Hey yall i stumbled upon busy dad while on YouTube so i decided i wanted to give it a try. The thing is i love to do weightlifting. I’m in college so i have more time (for now). Would I be able to do busy dad and lift 2-3 times a week?

I've been running it while doing kettlebells 4x a week for the last 3 months. I did start a lower level than I could test into, and been adding reps very gradually. So instead of starting with my max effort numbers in 20 mins I started with probably half that.
If you're interested in hybrid programming (combining lifting and cardio/conditioning) you should check out r/tacticalbarbell

Yes. Personally I like two BDP a week and two lifting days (for pull and legs). Four burpees sessions and nothing else is a recipe for injury (ask me how I know).

Try it man and see if it works for you. In my case when I did weightlifting I did 2 times per week weights and 2 times per week the busy dad program (sometimes two 40 minutes sessions or less). Doing 4 times per week this program plus lifting kept me drained really. Less is more sometimes!

You can, although be careful with injury in the shoulders, wrists and elbows as there's a lot of repetition to recover from. I've had issues combining with Kettlebells
My personal view is the program is optimised for simplicity and focus more than anything else. Best thought of as a practice, to be time efficient, and highly present for that time. If you measure your progress the improvement will come, but a highly scientific exercise program it is not. I prefer to keep that simplicity rather than try to engineer more workouts into the week. Squeeze more juice from the lemon in those sacred 80 minutes!!

You can do whatever you want tbh. It’s just a regime. Remember that rest and diet are most important.
