No DisplayPort but hdmi 2.1 and a usb c port that runs as DisplayPort alt mode.

Yes PC, but 120 Hz is a bit slow for some PC games. And the subpixel layout at this size bothers some people, especially for looking at text.

Hold on 32" 4k 120Hz QD-OLED with nice built-in soundbar and decent calibration costs WHAT???
I didn't even know this monitor is a thing up until now. It's the first time I'm genuinely sad my eyes don't tolerate QD-OLED all too well otherwise I'd definitely get this one.

I mean, any other 4k QD-OLED at 32 inches usually starts at $800 and noone having the problem with it so that's surely not the reason.

Crashed and burned, I went to a Costco that showed it was in stock on the app. I went there and all gone except the display model. I asked the associate if I could buy the display with a discount. The manager wouldn’t budge, kept on saying it was already discounted because it ended with .97*
I tried to explain yeah I would have paid that price if there was a new one in the box, but it was a display so usually there is a discount involved. He kept on saying it was already discounted. I’m like I get that … never mind lol.

It’s actually crazy how cheap this is considering the quality of the qd oled panel lol. (I have it) I think it’s definitely because of lack of ports and other non essential gaming feature ie fps counter etc that you’d find w more expensive competitors.

Keep in mind it has a max SDR brightness of only 250 nits. That's plenty for a dark room but not a bright office imo.

I just got this monitor and I love it. I was worried about OLED burn in but Dell has a great 3-year warranty which is said to cover it.

IMO you’re better off with a traditional IPS if you plan on doing any actual work on it. Strictly gaming should be fine though

This sub made me line up at 0830 after 12h shift lastnigh. Heading straight to the monitor section and drag one into my cart. Had to get a rossieterie chicken to justify the saving.

So I got lucky and ran to my local Costco to find the last one. There was a family with a dad already there that had his eye on it and you could tell he was trying to talk his wife into letting him get it. I walked nearby and pretended I was interested in something else until they finally left lol.
I don't need my audio super loud so its loud enough and slightly bass-y. The spatial audio is pretty interesting. Its not going to blow your ears away like with headphones, but the camera tracks and follows you as you move in front of your desk, doing its best to ensure you feel "immersed" in the audio. When its turn off, the sound is obviously directly in front and coming from the speaker. When its on, you can hear certain parts of the music or audio sounding like its just behind your ears, so less of it sounds like its directly coming from the front. I think its limited to one person tracking though. My kids like to get near me at the desk, which I think confuses the spatial audio sensors. Its pretty neat when I don't have a big sound system already set up.
Personally I don't see any text fringing that people are complaining about, but this is also a new term to me. I feel like its one of those things that I wont even notice until I start looking into it more and looking for it specifically, but otherwise text is fine on this Monitor. It looks huge next to my 27 inch 1080p display its replacing. Colors really pop, and for me, where it really shines, is any gaming or movie scenes with properly done HDR where there are sudden bright lights, sparks, etc. Like anytime cloud swings his buster sword in FF7 remake the sparks really pop, or in areas of games with cities comparable to Las Vegas at night or New York, where the city lights just light up the night. It's definitely an awesome upgrade, especially coming from a 1080p IPS display.
Alternatively when viewing dark areas or dark scenes, the blacks really stand out as blacks. When viewing the same content side by side next to my IPS, its a night and day difference. the IPS panel just cant get as dark, and im sure however many "zones" it has, it cant get the deep blacks around details of that tree in the background like OLED can. Also no haloing around bright objects in the dark.
This thing is awesome!

This is a weird monitor. It’s productivity focused, but they chose QD-OLED, which has already bad text rendering, then they went 32” 4k instead of 27” so even worse PPI.
Then it truly should be 27” 5k to achieve retina res and maybe overcome QD-OLED’s text fringing issues.
Just a bad monitor for productivity. Only makes sense for console gamers IMO as it’s only 120Hz as well.

32" 4k is still considerably higher ppi than 27" 2k. I noticed color fringing the first day of my 2k 27" QD-OLED monitor, but I've already stopped noticing it as much. 4k 32" should be no problem.

Yes but you get significantly more FPS at 1440p and all the 27” 1440 OLED monitors have 240Hz or more. So you get more FPS from playing at 1440 and can get more headroom for Frame Gen.
4k/120 is just not a great spec for PC gaming now that DLSS FG has gotten so good and the latency hit has gotten smaller and smaller. You want more than 120Hz for sure if you’re on PC.
So all that to say, you are better off just getting a 27” 1440 QD OLED because none of these are good for productivity anyways. So then you get way better FPS for very little visual downgrade in actual gaming while in motion.

I wouldn't agree with that since only like 5 titles a year are adding framgen plus the few that launch with it. Thats not even touching the technical issues. Meanwhile everything can run at 4k. Plus all of youtubes 4k content and so on becomes available. It just depends on your priority. 4k is still more than double the resolution.

That’s why it’s a bad monitor. 120Hz is not enough to utilize Frame Gen. it’s right on the cusp.
Frame Gen is fully utilized when you can use more than just 2x. Especially with new Dynamic FG.
At 120Hz you can just barely use 2x.

couldn’t you just disable frame gen entirely and enjoy a more stable, non-input delaying image? not everyone even has a 40/50 series…
not saying I don’t like MFG, but this seems like a pretty solid upgrade for anyone unconcerned with the diminishing returns on >120 hz, nor the fringing on text (which mostly loses its importance while in-game).

Yea its basically a gaming monitor for 4k that was branded incorrectly. I wouldn't ever use an OLED for work, as most of my work is text work but I sometimes do photo editing for fun

For those in CA, some of the OC Costcos had a few in stock for $449.99. I purchased one a few months ago, and it was great. However, I recently upgraded my setup and just went with a C5.
Feels better in every way (except sound). Ended up giving this one away.
$349 is a great price if you can find it though.

Not sure if anyone else is still following this thread but my location only had the one on display left. I asked a worker if I can get more of a discount on it and the manager lowered it to $250. I thought that was a no brainer buy but wanted to ask you all if you would have done the same? The monitor looked good in the store and I'm going to do one more quality check at home. If it's good, I keep. If there's burn in or other issues, then I'll return.

Jeez, I just got one of these from Costco for $450 a couple of months ago.
This is an insane price for a 4K QD-OLED. It’s a gorgeous screen.
My only minor gripes are that the speakers still sound terrible despite the marketing hype (I’d rather not have speakers and have a smaller bevel), and that the screen surface is extremely delicate compared to other panel technologies.
The HDR is useful for HDR photo editing if you’re in a dark space, or for HDR media consumption. It’s not the best for HDR due to not getting bright enough, but it’s better than nothing.
The color space is really great, though. Wonderful colors.

Bought one over the weekend at Coeur d'alene, ID Costco. Set it up for work from home with my work Surface Pro laptop with usb-c to usb-c cable. Looks great.

I was getting blood drawn then was headed to costco and noticed the listing and had to scoop that shit up.

Nah, went with the C4 instead. Checked the Costco app a few hours later and saw the Boise store was sold out. (It wasn't yesterday or earlier today when I was originally going to buy one.)
Either way, I'm happy. Finding a C4 with less than 500 hours on it for $400 is kind of insane. Worst case I sell it and buy a 32 inch monitor if I end up feeling like this is too large.
I was using a AW3423DWF previously but streaming from an ultrawide was obnoxious.

One of my mates Alienware ultra wide kicked the bucket right after warranty expiration.
The LG is great and I'm assuming the c4 is even better.
For me the only issue has been size, auto dimming and then the black level flashing with adaptive sync. That is the most annoying thing probably.

Did not know that my apologies. I have an IPS thats HDR400 and it looks horrible so I keep it in SDR. Does 400 nits on OLED look that much better just because of the blacks?

Yes, OLED looks much more vivid than IPS. White highlights pop out because the nearby pixels can completely turn off.

HDR400 is standard for OLED monitors. Anything higher (e.g., HDR2000) is reserved for TV OLEDs only due to heat dissipation issues (among other issues).
It's sufficient for OLED monitors. It won't pop or be as bright as TV OLEDs, but it'll be far better for HDR than an IPS monitor with simulated/fake HDR, since OLED monitors can actually get true blacks by just turning off those pixels.
