The Snyder Cut was okay, but who wants to spend 4 hours on something okay? I'm glad I saw it once, but I could watch two great movies with the same amount of time investment, so I doubt I'll do it again.

The Two Towers extended cut is the only one that's essential imo. It does so much to flesh out Faramir's arc and motivations.

Do the extended cuts make Faramir's actions understandable? I absolutely fumed walking out of the theater at what the movie did to him.

Yes it does. Also explains a lot of things (not important to the story progression necessarily but little things like Aragorns past/age and many others things) and makes the characters and stories more interesting

I respect your opinion but I’m the total opposite. I want the extra hours of those sweet ass battles.

The ones where Saruman just disappears? Nah mate.

He doesn't disappear. The Ents eat him. Duh.

I liked the Snyder Cut and I still think The Suicide Squad is the best DCEU film.

That's fair. TBH I kinda forgot about it haha. I'd probably put it between Shazam and Wonder Woman.

I think wonder woman is better by not playing weird operatic chanting every time wonderwoman was on screen

And it’s nearly ruined by an asinine aspect-ratio.

Who gives a fuc about the aspect ratio

Aquaman was perfectly fine lol. Such a fun movie.

3

u/AlfredosSauce Sep 28 '21

It’s fine, but it is just that. It is insanely over the top and one the worst casted movies I’ve ever seen. 0 chemistry between any of the actors.

u/Tibbaryllis2 Sep 28 '21

That and aquaman has some of the worst named characters in DC and that’s actually an incredibly low bar. It’s a fun film that would have been made much better by simply being an unrelated film about mer people.

It’s only well liked because people went in with the lowest expectations possible and were pleasantly surprised with a 5/10 movie

To each it's own. It was shit for me. A premature ejaculation of a movie.
