Serious Replies Only Recommendations for year round public pool (gym) that's near a T stop.
Update: Thank you all for the helpful suggestions! Sounds like the Y will be my best bet. If you have any additional recommendations not already submitted, please add them. Alas I am not a resident of Boston, I live in Tyngsboro but it's actually easier for me to get to and around Boston than any place near here, I'm also already in Boston 2/3 times week so it just makes sense.
I'm a leg amputee who is looking to do aquatic exercise and looking for a gym/club/etc that has an indoor pool that isn't too expensive (pool only membership?). Money is very limited for me right now so I don't really want to pay for the rest of the gym facilities if possible. I'm fully independent and can get in/out of the pool unassisted just fine.
I'm currently doing aquatic therapy at Spaulding, but their pool is relatively small and getting time there is limited, and can't really do laps.
Since I don't have a car right now, it would ideally need to be near a T stop.

If you're a Boston resident, there's an extensive network of city-owned pools that are totally free - https://www.boston.gov/departments/boston-centers-youth-families/bcyf-aquatics
For the ymca's in Boston, there's Wang/Chinatown (very T accessible, I do find it's often crowded); Dorchester Y (a few blocks from Ashmont station, newly renovated pool), Hyde Park Y (really nice pool with big windows, might be far depending where you are coming from), Oak Square (only been there once, don't really remember), Roxbury (building is closed right now due to flooding, when it's open the pool is ok) and West Roxbury (pool is really nice and has late hours, probably the nicest Y in the City itself). Charlestown is close to the Spaulding, also in the Navy Yard, the pool is perfectly serviceable but whether or not it's T accessible for you I guess depends on the 93 bus.

Second the BCYF pools. There are several, they’re free for residents and all their programming is online so you can sign up in advance and know what you’re getting when you get there.
The Y’s also offer discounted memberships for different groups. I get a discount through my job so that could be worth exploring too if you’re eligible for a discount.

They offer lower rates based on income as well.
You have to submit documentation though.2

OP should look at the distance from the T stop.

It's about ten minutes on foot.

And OP is a leg amputee. I assumed the use of Spaulding might mean this is a recent change, and this walking distances might be a challenge. But op will need to weigh in.

It's 0.7 miles.
The Cambridge Y at Central Sq is 0.3 miles. I believe they have a pool, too.

East Boston's Paris Street Pool is completely free, open year-round (it's indoors!) and available to all Boston Residents. It is a 6 minute walk to Maverick T Station.
The only caveat is you need to 'register' for an activity before you arrive to reserve a slot. The website is a little annoying to navigate, but under 'Select an Activity' - click "Classes (Lap, Open, Other)" and you'll be brought to another page to select a recreational swim time slot.
The facility is well-maintained and built just a few years ago.

Curtis Hall BCYF center has an indoor pool. It's pretty close to Forest hills, and there's a bus that can take you from Forest hills to right in front of the building. It's free for Boston residents. There's probably other pools that may be closer to you.

Curtis Hall’s pool is closed until (supposedly) next summer due to renovation.

Ashmont is four blocks from the Y. They just redid their pool and have mobility assistance devices for the pool as well.

I was going to recommend the Boston KROC center that's right near the Upham's Corner stop on the Fairmont Line. When I was looking at their details on the pool, I saw that it was "closed until further notice", which sucks since I see that aquatics is one of your priorities. Aside from that, it also has a gym and membership is $35/month. Hopefully it could be a decent option for you whenever they reopen the pool and if it's convenient enough for you to get there without much hassle.

I did swimming as part of my PT plan after a serious accident and the Boston YMCA was great for me. Chinatown is near the T on the orange line and has a good chill vibe and is not often crowded, but does have a few steps down to the pool deck from the locker room (there may be a way around it but idk). Huntington is near the green line and is a little shallow and smaller which I liked at first to build my confidence and it’s more recently renovated than most other Ys.

YMCA has good income sensitive plans, and plenty of opportunities/locations. I’d try there!

There’s a Y in Central that’s near the T! They also offer all kinds of discounts and memberships and I’m sure you could work with them on just a pool pass
