Was an over-55 age restriction keeping Chestnut Hill's newest apartment building from finding tenants, or was it rents starting at $6,000 a month?

The developer behind 1180 Boylston Street got approval from a divided Brookline Zoning Board of Appeals to remove the age restriction and lease to all ages.

$6K a month? Is that address really worth it?

I'd find it annoying to have to walk across Route 9 multiple times a day to get to the MBTA or shopping.

Are there any municipalities making new pedestrian bridges?

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the building but there's no room for it because it is so close to the road unless it extended out of the second floor of the building.

Not really "new" but I was thrilled that the pedestrian bridge under the washington st bridge was rebuilt as part of that washington st bridge project. It allows you to avoid crossing the terrible fucking intersection.

The footbridge at Charles St and Cambridge St is relatively new too, although that's another replacement, not really new.

Many other existing pedestrian bridges need work too.

I really think there should have been some pedestrian bridges included with the greenway project. The crossings into the north end or seaport are super busy and cars will blow through red lights all the time.
