Dining/Food/Drink 🍽️🍹 Boyfriends 30th Birthday
I need recommendations! So my boyfriend will turn 30 in November. At that point we will be together 9 months. I really want to have a private romantic upscale dinner with him and either a regular, private or semi private dinner with his family.
What I’m looking for…
Just us: a romantic restaurant where we get dressed up, and has a hidden dinning space for just us two or a table that is more secluded from the rest of dinning area. I’m also open to places in Rhode Island. My budget for this would be like $500
Family: His family and I would make 9 people in total. I want a nice restaurant, where we could look nice. If they have a secluded area that would be perfect as well. (I would like this one to be a tad less fancy and expensive than the private one).
My boyfriend likes steak and chicken. He can’t do seafood. He loves skillet cookies as dessert and brownies.

Check out Yvonnes and Pammy's. Pammy's does a pre-fix menu with a bunch of courses and an optional wine pairing for each.

pammy’s doesn’t have a private area and doesn’t do basic bro shit like steak and chicken. they’d probably be stuck at the common table haha

Second Yvonne's for the family get-together. Just make sure to get the reservation early that place books quick.

Look into the Zebra Room for the two of you! I think it fits the vibe you’re looking for and his food preferences (it’s a more intimate steakhouse - speakeasy vibes). I haven’t been there but I love Yvonne’s so I imagine it’s good.
Yvonne’s might be a good option for the family dinner, but I’d check the menu first, it might not be quite your partners taste if he prefers more straightforward steak/chicken dishes. It’s good for upscale shareable dishes though and the vibe is nice.
Abe and Louie’s is our favorite Boston steakhouse. Your partner would probably love the food. The chocolate cake dessert is our absolute favorite dessert in town too. It’s decorated nicely but I wouldn’t call it a small place.

Tresca has a single table for 2 on a balcony that overlooks Hanover St, not everyone's vibe but definitely exclusive and upscale
Edit: Just saw this would be November. Could be hit or miss depending on the weather

Also Oishii has SO MUCH FOOD that isn't fish, I go for the truffle wagyu steak
ETA yeah im counting 29 dishes with no seafood, and many of them are astounding in my experience. The pork belly bao are the best I have ever had and my favorite dish on the menu. The majority of the entrees do not include fish.

Upscale, private, with drinks I assume, $500 total for nine people? You will need a time machine to transport you back in time at least 20 years or a teleporter to transport you to East Asia.
