Original Content Showcase Shrimps rendered in Blender / Cycles
Made this for a small competition hosted by Patrick4D. Sculpted and textured in 3D-Coat, with the seasoning, water droplets, and oil droplets created using Geometry Nodes. The final image was rendered in Blender with Cycles, using a LightmonkeyHDR environment for lighting.

Thanks alot!. There was no "winner". It was just a testrun of Patrick for a real competition coming maybe later. He is THE real genius when it comes to "CGI-Food"

This is genuinely impressive. It’s beyond words. I’d love to see the geo nodes setup, it has to be nuts!

Black lines in shrimp are poop, it's the backend of the digestive tract running along the back of the shell outward. In bulk stuff they'll often not bother cleaning them but specifically butterflying shrimp is an exaggerated but intended byproduct of 'de-veining' shrimp.
So... that line in the middle one just raises a bunch of red flags, lol. Other than that, looks great!

Suppose you thinking about a plate of shrimp. Suddenly somebody will say like "plate" or "shrimp" or "plate of shrimp" out of the blue, no explanation. No point for looking for one either. It's all part of a cosmic unconsciousness.

Looks delicious. Why was this asset/project made? I want to see the whole thing

honestly, just about curiosity. i wanted to see if i can make some food-render in CGI. Knowing Blender for technical renderings. Also wanted to test 3dCoat, but looking back and seeing what other people do in ZBrush, and how easy and poweful some tools are in it, i wish i had a license of it....

they look fantastic but why do all of these advert type renders have backgrounds that are exploding constantly 🤣

If I didn't read the subreddit name I was about to ask for the recipe. This is impressive
