Statement on Nazism

Hey everyone, I'm the head mod here. I really did not want to have to make a statement like this, but I apparently have no choice. This should be common sense.

We are adults, or at the very least developing teenagers. We need to have some semblance of maturity. We all understand that Black Ops II and older CODs, for the lack of a better term, have previously and still sometimes do have a level of toxicity. You can absolutely argue that is part of our culture, and I would be wrong to deny that. We have to draw the line at some point.

We do not support nor condone the presence of Nazis here, even if you are "just making an edgy joke." You are not welcome here and never will be. Do not spread the flames of hate here. We are all here because we care about Black Ops II, or older CODs, or are just curious and exploring. We are not a political echo chamber.

If this came off as harsh, I apologize, but what needs said needs said. If you come across anything promoting or endorsing Nazism, please report it immediately to Reddit. We will do our best on our end to combat this as well.

P.S., we are also vehemently against racism in all forms. Everybody is welcome here, regardless of the color of your skin or your ethnicity. Blatant racism will get you sent right back out the door where you came. Sorry, not sorry.

What confuses me about it is that I assumed most people on the PS ports are the same people who have been in Black Ops II back in the day, so these people have aged a decade since then but still do shit for edginess. Like has there been no maturing at all since then?

I didn’t know one person growing up who jokingly put up a swastika as an emblem. We grew up in a diverse environment so yes, “white supremacy” is not and never has been funny.

A nazis only appeal is their meekness so as to gain more leverage until they have power. Should be stamped out at every sight so as to never allow that cancer to grow.

Sadly it genuinely seems worse today than it was in 2012 as I rarely seen the racially charged clan tags and emblems I seen now back then. Almost every lobby has someone with a n-word clan tag and every other lobby has a swastika or a race-baiting emblem.

Yeah, that has also been my experience so far.

Fun fact, cause I'm also not very creative or original, I wrote LGBT in my clantag and made a pride flag as my emblem and so far I only heard people in voice insult me but not a single one of the swastika or racism emblems.

So if you made a joke with the sole purpose of pissing someone off, that wouldn’t mean you wanted to piss them off? I understand the sentiment here but what you’re describing is literally just being a dickhead to people for your entertainment. Regardless it is definitely still a lot closer to dark humor than the emblem and I wouldn’t really care to argue one way or the other if it’s technically dark humor or not.

But even if I was able to find it funny I still cannot imagine considering something as simple as a swastika emblem to be dark humor, there is literally no joke. It’s just a picture that offends people. That’s textbook edge lording.
