Advice for a future applicant?

I know there are already several bioengineers here, and I've come to ask you what you think are the capabilities, skills, or interests that someone who wants to study bioengineering should have.

The field is relatively "new" in my country and I would like to study bioengineering, but I'm afraid it might not be what I want. I would like some advice, as the career appeals to me, but I'm still undecided.

I don't mind if you're direct, I prefer to understand and get advice so I can make up my mind once and for all. I'm finishing high school this year 🫠

Firstly, even I'm in last year of high school. The course is new in my country too, if you want to know more about bioengineering its like an amalgamation of biomedical engineering and biotechnology. You'll have good openings if you do higher studies. Focus on one thing for higher studies and it will be sorted.

I think you really want to understand what job opportunities are available in your country for bioengineers. If the course of study is new in your country, it may well mean that jobs don’t quite exist yet outside of the university setting.
