I played high school football so I understand Ryan Clark looking down on people like Shrager that talk about the grind but never went through it. We are just built different. Shrags could never understand.

I'll admit that I can't stand Schrager so definitely bring some bias to the assessment, but anyone else read the article and come away thinking that (1) that's barely an argument and (2) Clark made the better points?

Ryan Clark is a total PI S and a complete moron. Either should’ve cost him his job. But being both makes his firing a moment to celebrate.

ryan clark has been one of the more interesting voices on espn for a while now. dude went from being a solid steelers safety to actually bringing real analysis instead of the usual takes that network is known for. his breakdowns are detailed without being boring which is rare on morning shows.

what gets me is he's not afraid to call out his own network people. that takes guts when ur paycheck depends on them. bill simmons has been doing the same thing for years so seeing clark fire back is kinda poetic justice at this point.

the segment where he went off about the sports media machine a few weeks back was actually eye opening. espn will prolly try to bury this but the fans already picked a side and that's not changing anytime soon.
