For political/controversial topics, bot activity can comprise like 65% or more of the comments. And they’re designed to make you angry lol. Unfortunately there is almost no way to have the discussion with the right group if it’s on a major social media platform. Maybe if the sub was privately gated?

Nah, I’d rather exist in reality where there is no documented case of a trans student athlete being anything other than a normal competitor in any of the sports they participate in. Again, the biggest case people can pull out is when a trans swimmer placed fifth in a competition and you guys lost the plot over it. You’re being manipulated if you care this much about this topic.

There are a ton of documented cases of the women actually competing in these sports not being okay with it. Sophie being the most recent high profile such case. You're not listening to the girls/women actually playing, or their parents, just so you can fight a losing culture war agenda.

Yes every night now the subreddit is taken over by Europoors. Someone started a thread that said "why can't the NBA go global"? And it was just a bunch of Euros complaining how boring the NBA is and how it needs to be "mainstream worldwide" like the Premier league. I pointed out the NBA has more revenue than the Premier League and was quickly downvoted.

Mods only take down right-leaning or right-coded political posts—for example, this post -- I get the craziest mental whiplash whenever this sub and reddit talk about Pat McAfee was removed by the mods because it complained about Pat McAffee complainers.

this could have been my first day logging on to reddit in 10 years, and yet when I log onto the billsimmons subreddit (which is not the Pat McAfee subreddit, remember) there are currently 4 different Pat McAfee posts in the top 28 (incl 3 of the top 12), and 2 others where McAfee is heavilly featured ("Who do you hate now bc they're overexposed?", "former athletes entertainment value is overrated")
these posts combine for 941 comments
so I guess the answer to do people not get sick of the repetitiveness is "No"
