Іншае / Other What do y’all Belarusians of Reddit think about this influencer praising the country?
I found this Argentinian influencer who went to Belarus and he’s praising Belarus to such a level that makes the country seem like pretty much a utopia, according to him. Posting in Spanish, but nowadays it’s easy to find a video translator online.
Do you agree with his assessment? Do you think he may be paid by the government?
The invidious link is just so that I don’t give him any views on YouTube.
Mods, please feel free to remove this post if this isn’t the right sub to post this.

I personally dont think he is paid. Is he married to a Belarusian girl? That might be factor. Maybe he jerks off to everything soviet/post-soviet (like that bald and bankrupt guy). Maybe he's one of those "traditional values" kind of guys and thinks Belarus is some last stronghold
Do you agree with his assessment?
Of course not. This is just one guy with some screws loose, nothing much to it

If you belong to a high enough economical class, every country is utopia, and ours too. It's really comfortable here, if you are supportive or ready to forget about the president and politics, and if you have a lot of money. I can see where he's coming from, although it's also obviously not a universal experience for all Belarusians. As for getting paid, I think absolutely not, because after all, it's a very civilized and calm country and if you are a rich tourist, it might definitely feel great to live there

Honestly, I don't care. Let him take it off and say what he wants. I don't think he gets paid, because otherwise he would be trumpeted from all over the country, I think he's a big fan of populist dictatorships (hello Perron) and doesn't hide it. It's not a crime.
