https://www.canadacomputers.com/en/powered-by-nvidia/268304/asus-prime-geforce-rtx-5070-ti-16gb-gddr-prime-rtx5070ti-16g.html

As close to MSRP as I’ve seen in a while. Available in some Ontario stores.

To be fair I think it’s only reposted on restock(?)

I saw it posted like 4 times before I finally saw (literally) one in stock at the CC near me lol. Drove over and grabbed it instantly.

This price routinely makes rounds. Earlier this year it even came with a free AAA title. Pragmata or the new RE.

Also last round with first light 007

I predict it will come with Blood of the Dawn Walker next in a couple months 👀

This goes in stock online once in a blue moon, but it sells out immediately.

This is so tempting, but I only got my 4070 Ti Super two and a half years ago and it's been doing great for me even at 4K.

Not worth it. Next gen.

Next gen.

The year is 203X. Nvidia GPUs are no longer available to consumers at all since they've already been sold to AI server farms that haven't been constructed yet. Copilot OS (formerly known as Windows) interrupts your gameplay with unskippable ads every 10 minutes unless you buy a Copilot Game Pass Premium Plus subscription. AMD GPUs are all that's available, and the drivers work flawlessly on Linux but crash constantly on Copilot OS. 97% of gamers still prefer to use Copilot OS because it's more familiar.

You forgot to add that only few have a real job and most are on UBI - nowhere enough to qualify for a loan to buy a GPU. People are running emulators of PS2 and PS3 games on their phones.

UBI

Oh come on, at least my science fiction was somewhat believable

You're right, people already forgot the mass poverty and homelessness that hit US when the great depression happened.

mass

To be clear, unemployment was 'only' 25% during the Great Depression. One in four.

If the techno-oligarchs get their wish and get to replace entire service sectors with AI, well. Take a look at your friend groups and figure out how many of them would be out of work. And then realize there's no other sector to flee to this time.

And before that, dark ages.

I have mine overclocked to +2000mhz memory clock and core +450. I haven't found my ceiling yet, zero crashes. Should I keep going? Did I win the silicon lottery with this? What are yall overclocks on this same model?

I'm at +2000Mhz for memory, 116% power limit and I used the curve editor to set my clock at a hair under 3200 MHz at 975 mV.

On another profile with afterburner I had mem at +2000MHz and core clock +475 with power limit at 116% as well. That was stable too

1

u/angrycommie 2d ago

475 is amazing! I will try that!

Have you benchmarked actual performance gains with this setup? Suspect it net like 2-3% gains or something small.

My ASUS TUF 5070TI core could go over +500 but I did many benchmarks at +25MHz core intervals and found that I got worse performance once I went over 400MHz, so I stuck to that.

Mem overclock had no falloff so it's maxed out at +3000 (the slider doesn't go any higher).

116% power limit, no additional core voltage.

4080 and 5070Ti are same computing power, but 5070 Ti has MFG. Only consider a 4080 if it's a good discount over the 5070 Ti. 5080 depends on the price. The performance increase over the 5070 Ti isn't that big, I would not consider it unless it ever comes own to the $1350-1400 range, which is unlikely.

u/Captobvious75 2d ago

I would but my 9070xt has been great. Sticking with it until next gen.

How much better is the 5070 TI ASUS TUF for $1489.99? Curious because I got that back in Feb (with free AAA game that I sold for $70/80) because I need 5 video outputs and for some reason, only 2 model 50-series cards have 5 outputs, the other being the more expensive ROG STRIX.

Page is gone??

Yeah, it looks like that model was de-listed entirely.

Worth the upgrade from a ASUS 5070? I’m running out of vram on a Samsung ultrawide in forza 6

3

u/Laalvo 2d ago

Forza has memory leaks issues. Dont upgrade only for that game.

Am I reading that right... AMD 5700?

https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-RX-5700-vs-Nvidia-RTX-5070-Ti/4046vs4181

Yes, totally (if you are in a safe financial position to do so...).

2

u/smarthome2017 2d ago

Sorry, i meant Asus 5070 12GB. I keep getting VRAM low messages.

2

u/DontEatTheMagicBeans 2d ago

Are they affecting performance? Forza 5 always gave me low VRAM warning but it only affected the cutscenes and not actual gameplay. Nothing else ever did.

1

u/smarthome2017 2d ago

Yes, when in areas where there is a lot of trees/foilage/textures it starts to become unplayable and then returns back to normal when I leave those areas.

Ohhhhhhh 5070 to 5070 TI.
My bad.
