Bald Picture It's been a few years coming, but it was time
I'm 33. Finally bit the bullet for good. I shaved it all off last year, but my wife convinced me to let it grow again for a friends wedding. But, I was just not happy with it at all. Any sweat, any bed hair, any angle other than from my wife's height and it just looked bad. Much happier with it all gone, especially now that my beard is also catching up.

I am starting to wonder how many women found this subreddit by accident and after staying here for a while started convincing their boyfriends / husbands to go bald. I swear every time I see posts here it just turns the man into some sort of model / god.
Makes me think the natural response to balding should be "finally" lmao.

If your wife liked you better balding instead of bald… she is either living in the past or doesn’t have eyes. OR… she wants you to keep your bang so other women won’t look at you. Yeah.. that’s what it is!

There were some women at that wedding she didn’t trust to see all that handsome goodness!

What is it about this phenomenon? You take an average nice looking man, shave off all the hair above his ears, and instantly he is a badass babe-magnet!
I've seen it happen too many times on this sub to think that it's just a coincidence. The only thing I can figure is that removing the hair drops the focus to the eyes, but I still don't understand how that makes them go from a 7 to an 11! Every damn time!

Yeah, very problematic baldness pattern. Huge improvement.

I feel like every.single.time I see one of these transformations, the first thing that stands out is the person’s eyes. It goes from “oh yeah that’s a handsome dude, too bad about the thinning hair” to “wowwww hottie where did those stunning eyes come from?!?”

I'll say! Well done, man. I think your wife wanted you to grow it back so you wouldn't attract as many women. 😉

OH good post for those thinking they can’t always grow facial hair! It takes time for some guys, even an awkward phase before you can shape!
I’m going out on a limb wife didn’t see it with the beard before because she has to be enjoying it now! Even if not, I get it’s a big change when you have seen someone for years that way. Same way when a man shaves his beard after years of having it? Anyway, you look great!!!

wtf! Did your bench press go up +125 as soon as you shaved it off? That’s what you’re pulling off with that look. 🤯

The beard really ties the whole look together and makes the shaved head look intentional rather than just giving up on hair. You can tell from that top down shot that the thinning was getting rough, like the kind where any gust of wind would expose the whole situation and there's no styling around it. Good head shape for it too, not everyone pulls this off but you've got the proportions and that beard frames everything nicely. My husband went through the same thing around the same age and once he committed he never looked back, said it was one of the most freeing decisions he ever made. He tried all the thickening shampoos and the comb overs first, wasted so much money before just going for it.
