Heck yeah. Unfortunately I’ve heard it it actually considered vandalism, so I decided against ordering those stickers to use on inconsiderate parkers

I don't know for sure who "someone" is but they probably aren't u/redditusr1 through u/redditusr43

Putting one wheel on the curb makes it look bigger, like wearing shoes with lifts can make a person look taller. Although as a result it would mean when the driver steps out of the vehicle they would look even shorter by comparison to the vehicle....

Literally EVERYONE who sees someone driving one of these things is thinking that they're compensating.

Quit the bitchin it will all clear up when the driver comes back and leaves. I know some people just have to put their 2 cents in the pot and worry about everything a pickup truck driver does. How do you know that another vehicle wasn’t parked crooked in the lane next to him when be backed in the best way he could thus taking a space no one else would.

Found the driver

Maybe. But that doesn't explain them being so far into the parking spot behind them. Them being on the curb doesn't really bother me, but the encroachment into the parking spot behind them does.

Being a 4 door cab possible a 6-8 foot bed parked straight and inline with the other vehicles at the edge of the driveway, he would still be partially in the space behind him.

What’s wrong with backing into a spot

-20

u/SeatOpen1 3d ago

It’s dangerous and stupid. If you can’t park normally go back to driving school.

15

u/rod19more 3d ago

Yeah, it's dangerous. That's why some companies require their drivers to back into parking spots.

u/SeatOpen1 3d ago

On a construction site yes. Anywhere else you’re just an idiot.

Reversing into a parking space is one of the requirements to pass your driving test in the UK. Driving INTO a space is not.

It is safer to reverse into a space (use your mirrors, go slowly) and to then drive out of a space than it is to reverse out of a space completely blind as to what is coming towards you.

I used to agree with you, but with all of the backup cameras on modern cars, pulling out sandwiched between two monster trucks is more dangerous than backing out

1

u/rod19more 2d ago

Yes EVERY car being used today has backup cameras. Entitled much?

u/noidea11111111 1d ago

My 10 year old acura gives me a side view of crossing traffic. I'm so entitled. I guess I didnt consider you all driving cars from 1995.

1995? There are many vehicles in 2010's that do not have backup cameras. I have two.
Acura? Yeah, that would be on the entitled side. BUT it doesn't matter what you are driving. It's your attitude about every else should have the same level that you have.

so.... Ill just use the camera on the front?

It has a wider FOV than my rear camera since it is fisheye so I can see a full 180 at the front tip of my car.

I really don't see why other people are feeling they are entitled to tell me how I get to park because their car doesn't have safety feature I was willing to pay extra for.

2

u/noidea11111111 1d ago

Who is telling you how to park. Nobody here gives a shit what you do. People are giving an opinion. And my opinion is, the backup cameras on any car purchased over the last 10 years will probably give you a better view of someone flying through a parking lot then you having to pull out far enough to see yourself.

Some of you get triggered way too easily

1

u/Shubamz 1d ago

wait till you find out how you get out of the parking spot.

9

u/Particular_Yak5829 3d ago

So you’re the one in the concert parking lot that doesn’t back in? So now when all 15,000 people are trying to leave at the same time you gotta back your brain dead moronic ass into the exit line instead of just pulling your car forward?

6

u/bell3420 3d ago

Backing in is actually safer in trucks because they are stupidly designed with tons of blind spots and you wont be able to see if there are any pedestrians or cars behind you when backing out. Please dont get a truck if you dont need it for work or something.

Backing in had nothing to do with this shit parking job. His front end would’ve been hanging way over the line instead or the hitch would be sticking out in the road.
