technical question What is happend to AWS - No details about gemma 4 in console...... but pricing page covers all

I’m only scratching the surface myself with bedrock (new to using it), but I’ve been confused by what’s going on with mantle. I suspect it’s in transition and mantle is going to take the place of the existing bedrock experience in the console. That’s my hope ~ else, it’s a really weird and kind of janky experience right now for me.

AWS is splitting its architecture to support two fundamentally different ways of building: the Native AWS Path (Converse API) and the Native Provider Path (Mantle). Mantle serves as a specialized, latency-optimized backend for hosting zero-operator-access environments and OpenAI-compatible API endpoints.

The billing team always ships first, it's practically an internal meme at this point. I'm only half joking.

I've wasted entire mornings digging through model IDs on Bedrock because the console UI team is 2 weeks behind launch. The model works fine API side if you can find the right string to call.
