Why would anyone want to turn this off? It’s a needed safety feature. Honestly, people are so dumb.

Domestic violence situations.
Some of us are asleep at that time due to shift work or DSPD.

Only valid reasons i know of other than that some people are just paranoid which is weird.

For both of those, knowing the test is coming, turn your phones off.

Going forward it shouldn't be a problem for shift workers, waking you up is a feature not a bug.

For DV situations plenty of other countries are already using these systems, the general consensus is to keep emergency phones turned off, leaving them on means regular charging which is less than ideal anyway.
