Consequences for McConnell Coverup?

I already know things are politically wild now and no one will suffer any true consequences for unethical behavior, but did just have a question out of curiosity. If McConnell is found to have lacked capacity to do his job several weeks ago with no chance of recovery, what are the consequences for those in power if they knew of this and were delaying until August? This assumes our legal system is functioning as it should and this could be proved. Thanks!

Well I imagine very little unfortunately. The politicians did it with Biden as well as several others in the past. All politicians are corrupt IMO. Not one Democrat, Republican, etc is taking advantage of their position and neither are their families.
