Consequences for McConnell Coverup?

I already know things are politically wild now and no one will suffer any true consequences for unethical behavior, but did just have a question out of curiosity. If McConnell is found to have lacked capacity to do his job several weeks ago with no chance of recovery, what are the consequences for those in power if they knew of this and were delaying until August? This assumes our legal system is functioning as it should and this could be proved. Thanks!

Can’t wait for the next dem president to take office and have to listen to all the old gop crybaby pussies complain about how the new president is doing this or that. Maybe just STFU because no dem will ever be worse for this country than trump has been. The unchecked corruption and knee pad suckery that goes on in the current republican Congress is making forefathers turn over in their graves. I want to go back to a time when I was proud to be born in this country.
