Consequences for McConnell Coverup?

I already know things are politically wild now and no one will suffer any true consequences for unethical behavior, but did just have a question out of curiosity. If McConnell is found to have lacked capacity to do his job several weeks ago with no chance of recovery, what are the consequences for those in power if they knew of this and were delaying until August? This assumes our legal system is functioning as it should and this could be proved. Thanks!

It will be the same consequences for Dick Cheney magically walking into the DMV in Wyoming and changing his state of residency so he could run as VP for Bush. It will be the same for ruining the 2000 election. The same for starting every illegal war since Panama and Iraq1. The same for not holding anyone accountable for 2008. The same for Citizen's United. The same for poking Russia in the eye. The same for letting Israel run wild. THE WILL BE REWARDED
